"Don't sleep on this place. My wife booked this for us for a 4 day stay and we were super satisfied. It's certainly a great value, the rooms are super compact, some might call them 'small', which is perfect for those who want to be out and about in the city instead of chillin' in their room, and the hotel is clean, full stop. Some of the amenities which one might be used to in a different kind of a hotel, a restaurant, pool, gym, coin laundry, big lobby, sitting areas - are not present.\n\nThe REAL amenity, however, is the STAFF. My goodness - John, Ty, (who went out of his way the first day to make sure I felt great about my experience and upgraded our room), Carlos, a few other desk folk I only saw briefly, the woman who made up our room everyday with incredible care whose name I didn't get - all incredibly friendly and interested in providing the best service possible - I'll return to this hotel time and again because of the service staff - oh - and there's a sliding glass door between the small hotel lobby and the starbucks next door. Yes, you are HOOKED UP for your morning caffeine needs, STAT.\n\nThe WiFi leaves something to be desired, but that's also what Starbucks is for, lol. Word has it that this ownership is working on that and other improvements. Also, IFKYK - Longevity matters - When employees have been at a place for a super long time and profess happiness, something is very right about their world - We felt a lot of trust while we were there, and felt very taken care of by folks passionate about working there.\n\nIt's hard to find good prices in Manhattan, especially near a tourist destination at 5th Ave and 35th. With amazing Koreatown and the NY Public Library within spittin' distance? Even a greater value. UHotel surprised me, I was a skeptic when I saw an 8 foot wide entrance, but I'm sure sold after staying for a few days."

"Great location, everything is accessible very easily by foot or the nearby subway. The room we had was rather small but clean and cozy and I didn’t expect anything more for our stay in NYC.\nAs you’re right on fifth avenue, it can be quite noisy from time to time but that’s also something we expected.\nThe front desk staff was extremely friendly and forthcoming. We’d definitely stay here again!"

"I don't know how this hotel has such a good rating, the only thing that counts is the location, the rooms are very small, furniture is worn, currently under renovation with all that entails, I had to go down twice to ask for toilet paper and another time to ask for plastic cups, the carpet still had cookie crumbs on it after they had cleaned the room... I was going to give it 2 stars because the reception staff is friendly, until the day of checkout I met a receptionist who was not. That day, like every day, I asked them to heat up my allergic son's food and the person at reception told me there was no microwave for guests, I replied that I already knew it was for employees but that before booking the room I had asked via email and they responded that it would be no problem. And so it was, I was heating my son's food in his microwave all week, until that day, July 30, when the receptionist rudely told me that he was the receptionist and that he couldn't heat the food. Pathetic. If you're reading this, I hope you learn something from your colleagues or find a job where you don't have to deal with people."
