"After reading some of the reviews, I was a little worried about the accommodation in this hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has a perfect location and a stunning view. Of course, it’s a budget-friendly hotel, so don’t expect luxury, but overall, it’s very nice.\n\nThe rooms are clean and have everything you need — for example, a fridge, TV, air conditioning, hairdryer, and some small complimentary items.\n\nSome reviews mention issues with the elevator — and yes, it’s true that there is only one elevator from the ground floor to the lobby. However, we never had to wait long.\n\nI also read that the staff wasn't helpful or friendly, but that was not my experience at all. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. We had a broken fridge, and when I told the reception, they changed our room without hesitation. In the second room, the bathroom door got stuck, but again, the reception sent maintenance immediately, and they fixed it.\n\nOverall, I was very satisfied with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.\n\nJust a heads-up: you’ll be asked to pay a $150 deposit. I didn’t receive it back after two weeks, but I called the hotel, and they apologized and released it right away."

"Absolutely disgusting experience. After entering my credit card info on the Washington Hotel NYC website, the screen just went completely black. No confirmation, no email, nothing. I assumed the site glitched and the booking didn’t go through. I called them repeatedly, no answer, no voicemail, no human being in sight. It felt like I was dealing with a ghost hotel.\n\nFast-forward five days later, and guess what? They charged my card anyway, no warning, no follow-up, nothing. Shady doesn’t even begin to describe this place. The whole process felt like a scam run out of a basement. Zero communication, zero professionalism, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re running this operation out of a storage closet. Stay far, far away."

"Based on recent reviews I gave this hotel a higher rating. I was anxious after reading about “black mold, non working tvs, out of service elevators, rude employees, etc”\n\nTo my surprise, I was greeted by very friendly staff every time I saw them.\n\nYes only one elevator was running, but I didn’t wait for the elevator once or climb the stairs. Or ride with room service and garbage and dirty mop buckets.\n\nThe room did not wreak of any odors, the sheets and towels were all there, free of any stains.\n\nThe location was great, although my room overlooked construction, that was not the hotels fault.\n\nAll of the bathrooms hygiene products were stocked. As described in the ads.\n\nIt seems like previous reviewers had higher expectations for the prices. Our friends stayed across the street for more than double the price. This was perfectly fine for us, when we only stayed in the room to sleep.\n\nI would definitely stay here again next time.\n\nFor reference, I booked the corner deluxe room."
