"This hotel experience was mixed.\n\nDespite booking through points, I was still required to pay the “facility fee.” The $20 “complimentary” credit was not redeemable as intended.\n\nThe rooms were outdated, and the shower was malfunctioning. This was disappointing considering the hotel lobby’s elegant and stylish appearance.\n\nThe location was advantageous, as it was conveniently situated near multiple subway stations, including the iconic Grand Central Station. This made it one of the most accessible hotels I have stayed in New York City.\n\nOverall, the hotel should consider eliminating the “facility” fee, as it is an unnecessary charge. Otherwise, the experience was satisfactory."

"I stayed here for 3 nights in a deluxe room. I had two separate reservations so I reached out to the hotel. They were extremely accommodating over the phone and told me they would be able to make it so we did not have to switch rooms or get new keys. I had one night (the first) in a deluxe and two in a superior. They offered me a 50 dollar per night upgrade so my room categories would stay the same. It was a beautiful room that had more amenities than most. An actual bathroom door, a full tub shower, a toilet with a bidet seat, clothes line, shoe horn, shoe brush, heated towel rack, two full length mirrors, and other things I am sure I am forgetting. Check in was smooth and all the staff is very hospitable. Everything was very clean and the rooms were quiet. Really cannot ask for much more from a hotel.\n\nThis hotel is clearly designed with Japanese travelers in mind but it was amazing for anyone. As an American guest I felt very welcome and comfortable the entire time.\n\nMy only gripe is an experience I had at the rooftop bar. Google and their own advertising in the elevator says the bar is open until midnight but that is not actually true. The staff wants to leave at midnight and that is a big difference. I walked into the bar at 1145 on a Saturday and the manager basically laughed in my face when I asked for a nightcap. He told me they do last call at 1115. There were four or five staff members sitting around just waiting for two guests to leave. Most restaurants serve until the actual closing time, especially if they are closing before 2 a.m. My wife hung out there in the day while I worked. She had sent me some photos of her cocktails and some of the views and I was excited to try it. She loved her experience with the wait staff. Apparently I was just 30 minutes too late to get a drink at a bar that closed in 15 minutes. Just say you are open until 11. Serve guests until 11. Give yourselves an hour to clean. That experience was the least hospitable moment of the entire stay. I wound up grabbing a beer out of the minibar but I actually wanted a cocktail.\n\nThat said I am still going to give the hotel 5 stars because I really do love every other aspect of this place. I would absolutely stay again."

"I loved the lication of this hotel. Just a few short blocks from Grand Central. The rooms were nice and the Bidet was the best part of it. Loved the switch on the door alerting the cleaning service when you needed them. The rooftop bar is excellent, views are nice. Slightly pricey. 1 lava cake and 2 port wines was $60. The lobby was underwelming. For a 4 star hotel, i expected more help javing cab available at 3:30 am but they said they could not help."
