The Motel Montreal

"We had a great time at Motel Montreal. The bathroom and room were super clean, very friendly staff, and the AC wasn't as loud as the tracalaco. Good location. We loved Lake George."

"It's ok. We chose this spot because it was cheap on a last minute decision. Our room was clean although the bedframe was literally surrounded by 2 by 4 wood frames. There are barely any staff. The curtains are literally see through to where someone can literally try and have a peek inside."

"This is a dated motel dripping with character, but it's been maintained and kept clean by staff. The rooms are cramped, but clean and comfortable with a modern bathroom (at least my room). The property is uniquely laid out, having bridgeways from second stories going over recessed parking parking areas. It is almost theme park-like in its kitschiness with 1950s travel vibes.\n\nHowever, a slight word of caution. If you want direct access to Lake George, this is not the spot. The pics on Expedia gave me that impression but there are other properties in the short distance between it and the lakefront. While I walked through them to get to it without hassle, you are on other properties. I was told by staff that there is a public access area a half mile from there with the trolley going there.\n\nOverall it was a good stay for the price and could be better if you don't expect to wake up and walk down to the beach or docks. Not luxury, but not roughing it. It's also very close to the night life and food restaurants. This is a good stay for people on a budget, maybe looking for a taste of yesteryear or perhaps for an affordable extended stay."
