"My go-to in NYC.\n\nAt this point, I’ve been to New York well over a dozen times, and I keep coming back to The Ludlow. There’s just something about it; it feels way more New York than most of the bigger, glossier hotels in the city.\n\nThe vibe is effortless. It’s super chic, but not in a try-hard way. Brick walls, warm lighting, great design details, it just hits. It actually feels like you’re in the Lower East Side, not some corporate version of it.\n\nThe rooms are cozy but well done, and that bathroom is unreal.\n\nThe staff has always been lowkey but very solid, they don’t hover, but they’re on it when you need something.\n\nBottom line: If you’re into boutique hotels that feel stylish without losing their edge, this place is it. Doesn’t try to be flashy, just does what it does really well."

"This is a delayed review. Absolutely loved this hotel. The staff ( special mention to Jolyn) who helped with the reservations . So kind and courteous as were the rest of the staff . Never had such great service and attention . Rooms were small but enough and beautifully appointed . Clean rooms, wonderful linens, very comfy mattress ,great snacks and drinks in room fridge and everything we needed was there.\nBasement washrooms were convenient and spotless. Would have been nice to be on first floor for accessibility which was not a personal concern.\nDid not get a chance to eat at Dirty French as we were busy with a work event so maybe next time. Everything was perfect . Only that there was construction to the outdoor patio that we were not aware would be happening… was more like 9-5 noise but after a few days stay we could not enjoy that beautiful lobby during those hours . Elevators did not seem that slow at all considering how busy it was . Is close to shops and restaurants that we walked to every day.\nWould highly recommend the Ludlow. Thanks everyone for a wonderful stay. We will be back someday."

"The Ludlow is undoubtedly one of the best hotels in New York. A unique place that blends high-end luxury with a cool, laid-back vibe. The service is excellent: attentive and friendly without ever feeling intrusive.\n\nOne of its strongest points is the location. It’s perfect for those who want to shop at design boutiques, enjoy great dining options, and experience the city—while staying outside the chaos of Midtown.\n\nThe experience can vary depending on the room. We initially stayed in a terrace room, which had a lot of charm, but the space was quite small—something fairly common in New York. Later, we moved to a larger room and it was perfect: spacious, bright, and with an amazing city view. We definitely recommend choosing a higher floor to make the most of the experience.\n\nThe design of the hotel is full of character, with a curated selection of artwork, subtle vintage touches, and a refined aesthetic that reveals itself over time. At first glance, it might not seem particularly striking, but as the days go by, you begin to understand the mood and the details—and in the end, it all comes together beautifully."
