The Georgian Lakeside Resort

"We were very pleased with our stay at The Georgian! Check-in was smooth. We stayed in a Best Value room (attached the view from our room), and it was clean and incredibly spacious. Loved that the sink area is outside the bathroom, so one person can get ready while another is showering or using the restroom. The larger fridge in the room was also a welcome addition. Housekeeping cleaned our room, made beds, emptied garbage, and restocked towels each day. The pool area was great as well! We were staying during a stretch of 90 degree days in August, and there was plenty of seating and room in the pool. The cabana bar area was also great for lunch after a swim and late night snacks. Additionally, the laundry facilities were new and worked well for us. The machines are tucked in the back of the exercise room, which also looked really fantastic (brand new machines and weights). Parking was initially a challenge until we decided to use the underground parking garage. It was really convenient and actually kept the car cooler, as it was out of the sun. We wished we would have used it from the beginning instead of circling the lot for available spots! I would only caution overall: if you’re not willing or able to walk stairs, request a first floor room and avoid the underground parking area, as there are no elevators and stairs are the only option here. Also, this property is right in the heart of Lake George village. Many of the hotels/motels are very close together and adjacent to many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed being close to everything, as it was our first time visiting Lake George, but if you prefer more seclusion and less crowds, you may not enjoy your stay as much, as there are a variety of lodging options along the Lake. Overall, we highly recommend!"

"Our stay was nice. We had the lakefront room which was a beautiful view with two personal lounge chairs. Housecleaning was good, the room was very neat and clean with good AC. Only disappointing thing was that the fire pit tables were advertised as something fun to do but they are first come first serve with no time limit so groups would claim the tables early in the day and stay there all night. We were also surprised that room service had a delivery fee in addition to the mandatory gratuity as our room was very close to where the kitchen and bar were located."

"I usually don’t leave negative reviews, but felt I had to for this place. Worst place to stay ever. I’ve been to hotels with better geographical placing, better service, and better anything lol. They don’t have included breakfast and you have to place deposits for like everything. The swimming pool isn’t big at all and the people rush and don’t explain everything properly. We paid $250 for one night and there was no included breakfast, no water for the coffee, a lack of soaps and shampoo (mind you- they don’t have a phone in the rooms so you have to communicate via text and they take a while to reply). The prices for the food is also diabolical. I believe they feel entitled to such extreme prices because of the placing but the view from the rooms is just trash anyway. Stay anywhere else. Please."
