"❌ Extremely Poor Cleanliness – Would Not Recommend\n\nI recently stayed at a property located at 2 St Marks Place, New York, and was completely disappointed with the condition of the room. The level of cleanliness was unacceptable, especially for a location charging premium prices in Manhattan.\nToilet: The bathroom was dirty upon arrival. The toilet had visible stains, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. There was a lingering unpleasant smell that never went away, even with the window open.\nBedding: The bed sheets appeared used and unwashed—we found hair and dirt on the pillowcases and sheets. We had to ask for replacements, and even then, the “clean” ones didn’t feel fresh.\nCarpet: The carpet was filthy—covered in stains and dust. Walking barefoot felt disgusting, and we didn’t dare place any clothes or luggage directly on the floor.\nOverall, it felt like the room had not been properly cleaned or maintained in quite some time. The lack of hygiene ruined what could have been a great stay in a central location. Management seriously needs to address basic cleanliness before advertising this property any further.\nI would not recommend this place to anyone unless major improvements are made."

"They accept cash only. Large no visitor signs. Literally the place you bring a midnight ballerina then leave after the deed is done. The bed felt like a condom... Which you should have if staying there. It was clean but a 30 yr old bed and 30 yrs old carpet is sus. Pretty cheap but like we know why. The guy up front was extremely rude. Got an attitude about it being cash only. Sorry you live in the stone age. NO ONE PAYS WITH CASH ANYMORE. Don't expect ppl to read the fine print online. In fact you shouldn't even be allowed to list online if you won't accept a card payment. Granted they probably can't even take cards bc I would just void the transaction and not pay for this cess pool."

"This hotel is perfect for budget conscious travelers who do not need luxuries but still want to be in a prime location. Accommodation is simple: soap/shampoo/towels are provided as well as a space heater. The space was clean and the staff were very welcoming. Highly recommended if visiting Manhattan."
