"Very inviting hotel. Foyer is nostalgic. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Room is basic but clean, bright and of good size. Bed is comfortable. Good environment control with in window AC. Bathroom has been updated and is clean spacious with tub and shower. I’m staying for four nights and look forward to enjoying this quiet economically charming NYC renaissance hotel. No doubt I will consider revisiting on my next stay."

"I really don’t see what the bad reviews on this place are about. I stayed here for two nights, and everything was great. I booked the gold level room since I saw that these were the renovated ones, and I had no complaints. The bed was super comfortable too!\n\nHonestly it’s so much nicer to stay here than it is to be in a big box hotel, this one had so much more character. The location is also really unbeatable. So much nicer than staying in midtown where you can find comparably priced hotels. I’d definitely recommend this place!"
