"What can I say.\nThis hotel is set in the heart of very, very busy Times Square.\nI knew when booking it was going to be busy.\nIt’s not an area I have stayed in previously.\nThe Hotel itself is beautifully elegant.\nStaff are super friendly.\nHuge hotel. Swipe cards are used for everything.\nIt was rather fun swiping our card then waiting to see which elevator we would’ve allocated, then a quick run to get into it before the doors closed.\nOur room had a wonderful city view, very spacious for NYC.\nI’ve dropped 2 stars simply because the lobby of the hotel always had people smoking out in it.\nYou could not escape the smell it was everywhere.\nMy husband mentioned this to the staff, there is little they can do about this though as NYC has legalised the smoking of cannabis\n\nWould I return….\nI wouldn’t stay in Times Square again but I would certainly stay in a Marriott"

"The Marriott Marquis is a wonderful hotel in an unbeatable location—right in the heart of Times Square. It’s perfect for shopping and sightseeing in Manhattan, and within walking distance of both Penn Station and Grand Central. The hotel is surrounded by very good (though pricey) restaurants.\nMy family and I loved our fully renovated and spacious room—especially when compared to the typical NYC hotel room size based on our past stays.\nIt’s not a 5-star hotel (for that, you’d want to book at The Plaza), but it’s definitely a great 4-star option. The gym is beautiful and offers a great view, and we really enjoyed the colorful and efficient elevators!"
