New York Hilton Midtown

"Due to a flight cancellation, we book this hotel for a night but in reality was just for 5-7 hrs. Upon arrival to the hotel, common areas look amazing so we had high hope for the room but upon entering the room it was clear that the hotel had invested heavily on renovation to the common areas leaving the room neglected. The room did not have the bare minimum as a small refrigerator, coffee maker or any thing just and ice bucket. Bathroom was so small but worst of all looked like it was falling apart from the shower head to the doors. The bed was questionable and headboard was peeling as if a cat had been scratching for months. As a Hilton member I requested complementary water which seem be missing all night. We requested the water and got tired of waiting over 2 hrs prior to delivery that we fell sleep and found the waters in the morning as we were getting ready to leave unknown when the waters were deliver even though we call multiple times over 2 hrs. I am very disappointed in this hotel and I will not be staying here again. Images online are from ages ago when the hotel was newer but it does not reflect the conditions of the room. I was actually excited and was planning to stay on this hotel for my next trip but this experience showed me that do not judge a book by its cover. The hotel images and common areas look amazing only to discover the room are neglected and in terrible condition..."

"Great location and very convenient. The room was clean, nice, and surprisingly quiet (I was worried about noise, but it wasn’t an issue). The only downside is parking — it’s super expensive at US$110 per night, and valet service is mandatory since you can’t park yourself. Definitely keep this extra daily cost in mind when booking."

"Good location, but greatly in need of improvements for the health of the patrons.\n\nStayed for a few days, arrived to a non-functioning air system and a musty room. Waited a long time and called multiple times to have them fix it. Finally fixed but the system seems to be fan on regardless of temp setting or fan setting. Ceiling is coming away from the moulding. Headboards are torn up. Elevators are slow and multiple out of service. Best part is the lobby and the marketplace hours - not prices.\n\nThe negative pressure vent in the bathroom was running but isn't sufficient for healthy air quality. Stronger air flow or a manual bathroom fan would improve. Developed a fungal sinus infection as a result of the poor air quality."
