"When I stayed here I loved the experience. The building is always clean and comfortable. It is safe and in a great location. The tenants and staff are really lovely. I stayed here for two months and have fond memories of the place. It’s not the Ritz but it is fantastic value for money. There was a gentleman by the name of Patrick who worked there when I stayed and he remains one of my fondest memories of New York City. One of the nicest people in the world."

"Location is good, the room was super small and kind of dirty but the bed was clean and so were the shared bathrooms. I was there in August so it was really hot. There was an AC that worked but it was as loud as having a helicopter in the room. You can turn it off but you'll still hear the noise from the AC from other rooms. If you can sleep in noisy environment than it's an OK place to stay for a few nights. Pretty much what one would expect for the low price."

"We spent 3 nights here, never saw anything in our rooms that didn't belong there (per the reviews about bugs and rodents). The neighborhood was quiet, there was a church next door, and the loudest we heard was when Sunday night service was letting out. We had a private bathroom and everything worked as it should with nice hot water for our showers. The bed wasn't a temperpedic, but exactly what SHOULD be expected when you book at the rate they charge. It was centrally located, subways 3 blocks each direction. The staff was friendly and always said hello as we walked by. We checked in late and the guy at the desk, Patrick, set the tone for the great experience we had at this hotel! We are already planning another trip back in the spring and plan on using this hotel again for that visit!"
