"Good hotel for visiting New York, especially if you plan to see a few shows. The hotel is close to everything - restaurants, theaters, Times Square and the subway. The room was clean, comfortable, and just as pictured on the website. The shower had good water pressure and ample hot water. The bathroom is big enough but you probably couldn’t have two people in there unless one person was in the shower.\n\nThe construction noise was not really an issue as it was only during the day and didn’t start earlier than 7am or 8am. My room was on the second floor right near the construction by the front entrance and it wasn’t a big deal. The bathroom got natural light but not much in the bedroom as that area is in the shadow of another building.\n\nThe hotel has free coffee and tea all day, which is nice. There is also a great grocery store across the street that has prepared food (hot and cold), deli, juice bar, and fresh made sushi. As well as anything else you might need. Great place to grab a quick bite for breakfast or lunch."

"I had a quick one night stay at the Mayfair. The lobby isn't fancy but it's not super shabby either. My room on the 4th floor was tiny. Not even room for a dresser. The bed was comfortable, though, and things looked clean. The bathroom had thick white towels and pump bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. Decent water pressure but the shower head doesn't seem to allow it to flow full force. There's no coffee pot in the room but there is a mini fridge. The windows let in no daylight as the building was covered by scaffolding with coverage over it, so be sure to set an alarm if you need to get up early. You can't see the facade of the building, so be sure to look for the sign as you walk up to it. The hotel is perfectly located if you're visiting New York to attend a show and it's an easy walk to many places, including into Central Park. This is a perfectly acceptable hotel, nothing awful and nothing special. One minor annoyance of which to be aware is that they charge you $2 to store your bag for you after checking out."
