"The neighborhood is very dirty and run-down, and there’s practically no Western food available in the area. There are no pharmacies nearby.\nThe hotel has zero hospitality — we tried to request an early check-in just one hour ahead because I’m pregnant and wasn’t feeling well after the flight, and they showed zero empathy, simply stating the standard check-in time. They didn’t even try to help.\nBreakfast only includes sliced bread and sugary cereal.\nThe hotel is located right in front of a subway station and it’s very noisy. The “best” rooms are the ones facing the front, as they are slightly less noisy.\nThe room is decent, the gym is useless.\nThe only advantage is that it’s a 20-minute walk to Soho and there’s a subway station one block away."

"I really liked my stay at the Madison LES hotel. The hotel staff was friendly when I checked in and I was able to drop off my bags before check in. The rooms are small but for NY it was bigger than I expected to get. The rooms and hotel was clean. I loved the roof top view. I was on the 4th floor and there is a train over the top of the hotel but I could barely hear it from my floor. It is located in china town so it is more of a suburb (manhattan neighborhood) area in definitely not like time square but I really liked it because it did not make me feel overwhelmed. I always felt safe in the area. I would definitely stay here again and plan on returning!"

"I was disappointed to find several unexpected charges upon check-in, including a $68 rate acceptance fee that was not disclosed beforehand. This experience has led me to reconsider using Expedia for future hotel bookings. Additionally, the room had outlets without plates, dirty windows, and the breakfast offered was subpar, prompting us to seek better options outside. The only positives were the functioning A/C and convenient location near the F Train, Chinatown, and Brooklyn Bridge. Despite these advantages, I will seek alternative accommodations next time to avoid similar issues with Expedia."
