"DO NOT STAY HERE! RUN! You are better of not having a hotel at all. There is trash strewn in every stairwell, the elevator is frequently out of service. I have videos of the trash and the elevator out of service. We got to use the elevator ONCE, on our way in and that was it. Our TV did not work, and the front desk lady told us she would "call a friend" to help us, and NEVER called us back.\n\nWe had to walk down the stairs with disabled friend with all of our luggage. I myself am recovering from a back injury that got exacerbated due to the elevator not being in service. I saw several families with elderly folks there that were affected by the elevator outage.\n\nThe continental breakfast was gross. There was staff cleaning and eating right there. There was a dirty broom in front of the bagels. But they do sell candy for $5 thought!\n\nSpecial mention: The disgusting bathroom!!! Sink was gross, likely had not been cleaned. The tub was brown/black so we didn't feel safe even showering.\n\nIts been over a week since my stay there, we've sent NUMEROUS emails and called over 20 times, we've gotten through twice.\n\nWe just spoke with someone on the phone who was beyond rude and HUNG UP ON US.\n\nI tried to resolve this amicably, but getting hung up on by a manager is quite infuriating. No customer service, no service at all. It's basically a rats nest."

"I had a great stay at the Hudson River Hotel in New York! The location is fantastic-just a short walk to Times Square, Madison Square Garden, and Hudson Yards, making it easy to explore all the city’s top attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. My room was clean, comfortable, and had all the essentials like air conditioning, free WiFi, and a flat-screen TV. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they were perfect for a short city trip. The hotel offers good value for the price, especially considering how central it is. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to stay in Manhattan."

"We had an outstanding customer service and the hotel is very convenient, clean and affordable for staying. However, you get what you pay for, rooms are reduced space, the building and the appliances are old. It was a nice staying, we just went to the hotel for sleeping and then spending the day in the city.\nIt is an affordable and convenient option if is your first time in the city and have low budget."
