"Stayed here this past weekend. Booked through a third party website and didn’t see the Google reviews until after we reserved, otherwise we probably would have been put off.\n\nNo roaches or bed bugs.\nNo mice.\nWe did have working a/c.\n\nThose were our biggest fears from reading reviews, so it worked out okay.\n\nThe room wasn’t disgusting, but it wasn’t very well cleaned. Crumbs could be found around the floors and trim. They didn’t actually change our sheets while we stayed there, the same stain that was on our sheets when we first got there was present after room service came next day. We had a fruit fly problem in the bathroom, they probably need the drains done.\n\nI personally wouldn’t stay at Hotel 27 again. I’d shell out extra money for a cleaner stay, but it wasn’t awful. For the price to be in Manhattan I don’t think it’s a bad option."

"Not much wrong with this place if you can get a deal. Nice & quiet (aside from street noise), clean. Actually felt pretty safe & comfortable the whole time.\nSmelled very strongly of bleach upon entry, that may be an issue if you're sensitive to it.\nRoom was understandably small, but good enough for two if you can hack it.\n\nBetter bring a coffee maker if you're looking to save some money. If not, there's some good coffee right below you."

"I stayed here with my wife and we had a great experience. Check-in was smooth and easy, the room was very clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job every single day. The location is perfect, right in Midtown Manhattan, close to everything. For the price we paid, it was more than we expected. The room had a microwave, fridge, hairdryer, and AC — everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend!"
