"Avoid This Hotel – You’ve Been Warned\n\nThree weeks. That’s how long it’s been since my stay—and they still haven’t returned my deposit. We’ve contacted the hotel directly multiple times, only to be told they don’t handle refunds. Why? Because they’re “in a transitional period” and no longer operating as a Holiday Inn. They actually told us to contact Holiday Inn corporate. We did. Repeatedly. Each time, we were promised a call back that never came.\n\nThis is not just poor service—it’s blatant disregard for customers. Holding onto people’s money without accountability isn’t a hiccup; it’s theft hiding behind red tape.\n\nOn top of that, the location is a nightmare. The J train literally runs right outside the building, so be prepared for constant noise all night. The neighborhood? I grew up there—it gets sketchy after 8PM. No parking either, unless you enjoy battling for street spots and feeding meters early in the morning.\n\nThe rooms are small. Not terrible, but definitely not enough to justify everything else you’ll have to deal with.\n\nBottom line? There are plenty of better options. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place."

"We got there early and they allowed us to leave our bags and go grab lunch. We came back and were told our room was ready early. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We stayed 2 nights. The staff was friendly and shared their personal recommendations on where to eat and gave us directions. The included breakfast exceeded my expectations. The location was also perfect for our needs."

"UPDATE (2 days later): the complimentary breakfast makes a big difference! The kitchen team is on it! This was the best hotel breakfast we had in a while. Worth waking up for.\n\nI booked through a third party e-certificate site. I will never do that again, I will just book directly next time. In any case, we arrived early (10:30AM) only to wait for four hours while the front desk staff ignored us in the lobby. We were told there were no rooms, but around 2pm, they started checking in other guests ahead of us ( I assume because those guests booked directly). When I spoke up I was give nothing but excuses. They simply ignored us until we started making a fuss. Not the best way to welcome guests. The rooms are clean, good amenities and well spaced for the price."
