Hilton Club The Central at 5th New York

"My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton Club The Central at 5th, and it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We travel to New York 3-4 times a year and have stayed at many hotels, but this one truly stands out.\n\nRegina, the concierge, went above and beyond to make our stay special. Upon arrival, she noticed it was my wife's birthday and surprised us with a bottle of wine and chocolates in our room. This thoughtful gesture made my wife's day and set the tone for a memorable visit. Throughout our stay, the staff was incredibly attentive—every time we arrived or left, the doors were opened for us, and we were greeted warmly.\n\nOne of the biggest surprises was the spaciousness of our room. Unlike many New York hotels that can feel cramped, our room was beautifully designed to maximize space and comfort. It felt open, modern, and inviting—perfect for relaxing after a day in the city.\n\nThe location is fantastic, with amazing restaurants and markets within easy walking distance. Whether you want to explore the city or just enjoy the local neighborhood, you’re perfectly situated here.\n\nThis hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of exceptional service, thoughtful touches, and a prime location made our trip unforgettable. Thank you to Regina and the entire Hilton staff for making our stay so wonderful. We will definitely be back!"

"The hotel should change its name to Hilton Club The Central Motel — because that’s essentially what it is.\nThere’s no food service of any kind, no stocked minibar (aside from two bottles of water), and just one ice machine for the entire hotel. Checkout is 10:00 am which is definitively a first. During our stay, there was no hot water in the shower for two full days. For $340 a night, you expect a lot more. Definitely avoid."

"Update! 8/2/2025\nNow we have NO water at all! No guests where notified that the water was off! Another day in NYC without a shower or bath in the summer time!!! And with no notifications! Poor communication to guests, horrific experience!\n\nI'm currently here right now. We have had ZERO hot water!!! When we arrived the water was off and they worked on it for hours. Day 2 and NO hot water. When we ask about it we keep getting the run around, no one updates you on the water issue. Our automatic shades malfunctioned so that had to be serviced!\nTHEN I found brown stains on the mattress cover that was on the pullout bed couch(HARD AND FLAT). I pulled out the bag that contains extra bedding and it reeked! House keeping had to come to our room at 11pm to handle this as well.\nBring your own blanket as they use the thin waffle "blankets" no comforters!\nThis morning I ran the water in the tub and it was yellow. We have contacted the front office for each of these concerns and haven't been contacted about our stay!\n\nThis is very disappointing!!!"
