"Listen the room is small but it’s right next to Times Square and it’s the cheapest option in the area. If you’re expecting a large room this isn’t the place for you, go spend the extra money somewhere else. We came for the holidays and it was the cheapest option in a 10 MILE RADIUS\n\nThis is a crash pad, but it’s comfy and it’s CLEAN. The staff is pretty nice and refrigerators are available upon request (we got one at check-in).\n\nWe read the reviews here and checked in around 9pm and it was smooth. The elevator is slow, but it’s an old building so it’s to be expected. The bar across the street is pretty good, and there’s some amazing Japanese/dim sum places nearby as well that are open late.\n\nSome of the reviews here smh. If you expected the Hilton, go pay Hilton prices."

"First let me say that under $100 a block from Times Square is awesome. I totally recommend staying here if you're OK with one thing; This hotel is pretty great of you're up for dealing one thing; tight quarters. If that is something you're OK with the you'd be silly not to stay here. And honestly, I'm sure not every room is like mine was but make sure you ask when you make your reservation, which you can't do if you're a Hotwire user like myself.\n\nOther than than, I don't have any complaints. The price was great. The location was great. The rooms do nothing to hide outside noise but you're in the middle of one the biggest cities in the world. If you want a sensory deprivation tank then you need to go somewhere else. The rooms were clean and comfortable though, aside from my issue with the size. Remember, odds are that you won't be spending a lot of time in your room anyway.\n\nThe staff was cool and the coffee in the lobby was free.\n\nI did take a video of the room to send to my friends, joking about the New York experience of a small space. I attached a couple of still from that video to show you a little of what I mean. Like I said, it's tight but if you're OK with that then this place is hard to beat."

"So we've stayed at econo lodges before and thought we knew what to expect. But NOTHING could have prepared us to pay 350 for these rooms.\n\nWe came in, and the front door was broken. There were people fighting in the lobby, and that in itself was an experience.\n\nThey gave us our first room, when we went in, the room was as big as my closet. And was so dusty you'd leave prints on whatever you touch. We were going to ignore it till we saw a giant stain in the middle of the bed from God knows what.\n\nWe went back downstairs and asked management to change our rooms and they acted as if they were doing us a huge favor changing our rooms.\n\nThe second room they gave us, the door was broken and wouldn't open.\n\nWhen we went back downstairs they made us go back up with the janitor to see if we weren't lying.\n\nThe third room we got was a blessing compared to the other two, but there were stains on the carpet, there was no hot water, the TV didn't work and the light would flicker. But at this point it was almost 1 am and we were exhausted. Finding another hotel last min in New York city is expensive and the hotel policy is no refunds on any nights.\n\nThe rooms themselves were as big as a walk in closet.\n\nDO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of hotels in the same price range that are much better in the same location. Location is the only saving grace for this hotel."
