"I'm not sure why this Courtyard has so many negative reviews. I stayed here while a family member received care at a local hospital. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was courteous, the housekeeping attentive. The only thing missing would be a continental breakfast. There is a modern fitness center available and self-serve laundry. There is no on-site restaurant but within a block or two, one can easily access convenience stores and eateries. I did not use the valet parking. It's comparable in price to similar hotels in the area. I would stay here again."

"I stayed here while visiting my son. The room was roomy and clean and the front desk was very nice. There are very few amenities but the price was also very reasonable for Manhattan. One suggestion would be have a pot of fresh brewed coffee available in the morning. They have a coffee machine but the coffee was so awful I couldn’t drink it. There are several Starbucks though just a short walk away."

"We recently stayed at this Marriott and had a mixed experience. The location is definitely a plus—convenient and close to many attractions and dining options.\n\nThat said, the stay was marked by several comfort issues. The elevators were incredibly slow, often taking several minutes to arrive, which became frustrating during busy times. The biggest concern, however, was the lack of cold air in the rooms. Our room was uncomfortably warm, and when we called about the air conditioning, engineering promptly came to take a look. They were very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, they informed us that the system is outdated and simply doesn’t blow cold air. This was disappointing, especially in the middle of summer.\n\nThe heat wasn’t just in the rooms—the lobby was also quite warm, and it was noticeable. Items being sold in the lobby provisions area, like chocolates, were melted, and other snacks were sticky due to the temperature.\n\nOn a positive note, the housekeeping staff was excellent—extremely pleasant, professional, and friendly. Our room was very clean, and the sheets were perfectly pressed. However, the furniture in the room felt outdated and worn, which took away from the overall feel of the space.\n\nMost of the front desk staff we encountered were courteous and welcoming. Unfortunately, our experience with the morning shift was not as pleasant. One front desk associate, in particular—a woman with decorative nails—was noticeably rude and seemed put out when asked about even the most basic things.\n\nOverall, while the hotel is in a great location and has a wonderful housekeeping and engineering staff, the outdated infrastructure and inconsistent customer service made the stay less than ideal."
