"We arrived and then and only then did they tell us there was no hot water and that it was a 5th floor walk up. They said we could have a discounted stay or cancel. It was Easter weekend and the city was booked solid so no other options. When we got to the room, there were no pillow cases and the pillows were stained. We asked if there were clean linens and the “receptionist” said they were hoping to get clean sheets in the morning. When I told her we were leaving in the morning she laughed and said, “yeah that sucks”. We slept fully clothed and bought pillows at a store in the city. When we checked out the “manager” Troy said he would make sure we were refunded. He hand wrote us a note with his email and the discount. He has not responded to any communication neither has hotels.com. I am currently disputing the charges with my credit card. You will also not a get a final check out receipt as they don’t have a printer. They also don’t have your email address in their system.\n\nTHIS PLACE is seriously NOT worth the hassle."

"DO NOT BOOK! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!\nOne star is already to much.\nThe hotel never replied to my emails prior to our stay (neither via the booking app nor direct emails).\nWhen we arrived we were told there is NO HOT WATER currently and we will get a 30% discount because of this. While checking out I asked how this is going to work, answer: the manager will look into it and will take care of it.\n1,5 weeks later still NO REIMBURSEMENT, NO COMMUNICATION. Nothing, just silence.\n\nPLEASE DO NOT BOOK ROOMS THERE.\n\nAnd on top, there is no elevator and I was booked into a room on the 5th floor, but got booked on the 2nd floor after realizing that I will not be able to make it all the way up with all my luggage (really wanted to take a proper shower after that) 👌\nThey also do not fully wrap the inlay of the duvet, so there is only one fresh sheet and not a second to cover from the top. Eeek! Not sure how many people sat, ate, etc directly on that duvet inlay.\nWalls are super thin so you will hear all your neighbors and people on the hall way."

"Overall a good stay. The value for money is absolutely fair – the room size is appropriate for this price range and accurately shown in the booking photos. The room was generally clean, although there were some dust under the bed. The furnishings appeared modern and well-maintained.\n\nCompared to German standards, the windows are not as airtight and the rooms not as well soundproofed. However, we were aware of this beforehand and didn’t find it disturbing, as we were prepared for it.\n\nUnfortunately, there was no hot water during our stay. We didn’t quite understand how the hot water could be out for so long or whether there are no emergency plumbers in the U.S., but we don’t know enough about how things work there. In Germany, someone would probably have come and fixed it right away… However, the hotel responded quickly, offered several alternatives, and refunded a significant portion of the price.\n\nReceptionist Tykeem was consistently friendly and helpful. Even when things got a bit tense at the front desk due to the issue, he remained calm and professional. Anyone looking for a solution could turn to him – he did everything within his power to help.\n\nDue to the hot water issue, we ended up with a very affordable stay – and for us, it was worth taking a few cold showers. 😁 All in all, we would book this hotel again on our next trip to New York. 🤗\n\nImportant to note: there is no elevator – something to consider if you have mobility issues."
