"As expected for a budget hotel. If you want something with a bit of luxury and comfort then this is not the hotel for you. But if you're looking for an excellent base at an affordable price then this hotel is suitable. The kids and I would normally stay in much nicer hotels, however we wanted to do new York at Christmas time and this was the affordable option. I went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised, especially after reading the reviews which had me feeling very anxious ! The rooms are small with no frills, however the beds were comfy and we had everything we needed, we were only in the room to sleep anyway. The bathroom size was ample and the shower was good. Clean sheets and towels were left everyday which was great. Most of the staff were super helpful and the tea/ coffee facilities in the reception was amazing , the kids loved the hot chocolate. Everything is handy from this hotel with times square , Broadway, and amazing shopping close by and the subway / bus terminal just round the corner. Concrete floors are not pleasant and the heating is dodgy, we were freezing at night and had to go to bed wearing jumpers, apart from that it was a great stay !"

"Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags there while we went to our show and even offered to checked to see if our room was ready so we could check in early and even after checking out. The room was small which was to be expected. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Best night of sleep I’ve had in a long time. The only down side was the walls were paper thin, the room could have used a bit more cleaning as there was hair all over the floors, and the shower was cold to lukewarm. The staff and the super comfortable beds is why I chose 4 and not 3 stars. Also the price was great and it’s close to everything."

"I was attracted to the colorful decor online, but it's really in the hostel category, except no shared bathrooms. Homeless people sleeping right outside. Concrete floors, outdated security locks on the doors, very small TV with poor reception. And the worst part was the row of hampers and cleaning supplies outside my door. Very unsightly and unsanitary. Such an eyesore and poor presentation. This room was over $200 per night and definitely not worth it. The only thing I did appreciate was the beverage station. Management needs to do a thorough overhaul and detailed upgrades at this property. I'll never return."
