"As a solo traveler, I was looking for a cozy, centrally located place to unwind and reset before heading home to Portugal — and The Jewel Hotel was exactly that.\n\nThe location truly can’t be beat. It's right across from Rockefeller Center, I was able to walk to all the iconic NYC spots: Top of the Rock, Times Square, Bryant Park, Fifth Avenue shopping, and of course, Broadway shows just a few blocks away. Being close to multiple subway stations made getting around the city a breeze — which is a lifesaver.\n\nBut what really made my stay special was the staff. Every single day, I was greeted with a smile. The team at the front desk were not only friendly, but genuinely helpful — offering directions, recommendations, and just kind conversation that made me feel seen and welcomed, not just like another guest passing through.\n\nOne unexpected (and very appreciated!) perk: free laundry! After a month of traveling across the States, it was such a relief to be able to do a full refresh of my clothes before boarding my long-haul flight back to Lisbon. It’s the little things like this that make all the difference for long-term travelers.\n\nOverall, The Jewel Hotel lived up to its name — a true gem in Midtown. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it all travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and kindness in the city that never sleeps."

"We were staying one night in New York and got a room at the Jewel. Ariella, the woman working the front desk, was extremely welcoming and answered several of our questions. We were really impressed with how friendly and helpful she was. Our room was small, but was well laid out and extremely clean and comfortable, and for the price we had absolutely no complaints."

"It’s a small hotel, but very well laid out. There isn’t a traditional front desk, but there were two staff members with a great attitude, ready to help with anything needed.\n\nOne thing I found exceptional is that each floor has a water filter and reusable bottles for personal use, plus a lounge area with an excellent coffee machine available 24/7 for guests.\n\nWhile I did find the price a bit high for the size of the room, the space is very well used—it’s small, but clean, comfortable, and functional. A great option for staying in New York City."
