The Z Hotel Soho

"So the Z hotel here is an interesting hotel. It’s located right in the heart of theatre land and a short stroll you can be anywhere. Outside our room down some stairs was a coffee bar that did snacks and was really cool being open air. As expected at this price point the room is small but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s basic - it isn’t. Not expected to find an electric toilet with was facilities and all of the room essentials were new. Getting in and out of bed for a couple was a challenge but fun … the bed was by the window and the blind electric - photos of the room speak for themselves in what is available but it was good and we had no complaints"

"This hotel is truly in the center of everything! Great location but small rooms with very little space or privacy but great soundproofing from the world outside. Staff were lovely but unfortunately our room was not ready for check in - not a great time to wait in a cafe after a red eye flight. Would recommend it but set your expectations appropriately"

"Unfortunately, I am reviewing this place as 2 Stars due to the room size and configuration, as well as a situation with their power going out.\n\nThe room, yes I had read reviews that the rooms are small so I was hoping the queen would fit our needs. However, there was basically a bed in the corner and a path to walk around the bed on two sides. There was no space to put luggage and no space to have clothes out. And the toilet, shower and sink all share the same space. So after showering the floor was all wet, which made getting ready, difficult.\n\nAnd the power went out and we were told about midnight a generator just arrived and would take a few minutes to set up. At 1:30am, I could not handle the heat in the room any longer and went to complain again. Again was told bout the generator. I asked if they could put us in a different room on a lower floor OR find us a different hotel, they would not. I don’t know how they expected people to be stuff in these small rooms with no air circulation. So we sat outside at 130 IN THE MORNING waiting for the generator. Yes, it finally came on at 1:45am. Yes, I did ask for some sort of refund for the first night. They said they would look into it, and I never heard from them again. Poor customer service.\n\nI would also not have done the breakfast. It was not worth the price. Same small selection of food each morning.\n\nOn a positive side, it was a great location. Right in the hustle bustle of SoHo, if that’s your vibe.\n\nWe would absolutely not stay at this place again."
