The Lion & Key Hotel

"A Wonderful Stay at The Lion and Key\n\nI recently spent six nights at The Lion and Key, and it truly is a fantastic find. As someone who travels frequently for work, it’s refreshing to come across a hotel that’s so well managed and welcoming.\n\nFrom the moment I arrived, the gentleman at reception was very kind and gave me a lovely room on the third floor, where I enjoyed some beautiful sunsets during my stay. Everyone I encountered was really kind and thoughtful, especially the reception team, who made me feel very welcome.\n\nOne evening, I tried the chicken caesar salad, which was really nice and hit the spot. I didn’t have a chance to try breakfast, but other guests I spoke with said it was excellent.\n\nI’ve stayed in lots of nice hotels in London, and the housekeeping here is genuinely five-star — they came every day with fresh towels, made the bed perfectly, and restocked the tea, coffee, and biscuits. Honestly, I looked forward to those biscuits every day!\n\nAir con was great, and the shower was just right — very refreshing after a busy day.\n\nOverall, The Lion and Key is a real gem, offering great comfort and friendly service. "Awesome little hotel for my 20 day stay from Canada! I would book again in a heartbeat!\n\nThis is a clean, modern and secure family-run hotel with air conditioned rooms and great food in the lobby restaurant.\n\nI stayed for an extended stay and the staff bent over backwards to meet my needs whenever I asked.\n\nChippy and Winston at the desk were very helpful with navigation and room needs.\n\nThis hotel is has a good Chinese food place across the street and a store near the gas station for bottled water and snacks if needed.\n\nThere is also a bus stop right near so you get to the Tube easily or can walk to it. The intersection is a bit busy though although I did not hear traffic sounds in the room.\n\nSecond-hand smoke was the only issue in the dining room when the doors to the patio were open. Maybe they could close the doors in the future or move the patio tables from the doorway entrance or both."

"Very lovely hotel , the breakfast amazing! Car parking is a must book as they have only 5-6 spaces available in total. Unfortunately I didn’t get a good night sleep due to street noise, very busy- central. Staff is absolutely wonderful! Thank you"
