"Location was very convenient for traveling in and out of the train station. Staff was kind and helpful. There is no elevator, which usually is fine for us, but the stairs are almost too tight to carry luggage up multiple floors, even smaller carry-on size luggage. I’m not sure a large suitcase could have been taken up to the floor we stayed on. Our room was small, but this was expected. There was only one working outlet in the room, so we had to choose between charging our phones and plugging the fan in (there is no air conditioning). Breakfast was very good—lots of options, including vegan and gluten free. They do offer luggage storage, but it is not locked in a room. There’s a large cupboard in a hallway that is not monitored. We didn’t have any issues, but it seemed like pretty much anyone could walk back to that area and take whatever bag they wanted."

"Super comfortable beds, really friendly staff. We booked on the hotel’s website that got us the opportunity to have free breakfast, which was awesome. They let us store our luggage before check-in and after check-in, which was clutch. Proximity to the train station was amazing. Only about five minutes walk. The neighbourhood felt super safe and was charming. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.."

"I had a great experience when I recently stayed at Mentone Hotel for four nights while in London for a wedding. I had a room on the top floor, which yes was small, but had what I needed, was always clean and functional, and had hot water each morning in the shower (I saw reviews saying hot water took a while to reach the top floor, but I didn’t have this problem). I had lovely interactions with the staff, breakfast was good and reliable, and above all I really appreciated that the hotel was tucked away on a quaint street while still being close to so much. Russell Square (Piccadilly Line), Euston Station (Northern Line), and King’s Cross are all within a 5-15 minute walk, there are pubs, shops, cafes, and pharmacies/convenience stores nearby, and you’re very close to the British Museum. This isn’t the fanciest hotel with tons of bells and whistles, but it perfectly suited my trip."
