KingswayPark Hotel at Park Avenue

"Pros.\nExcellent location.\nPleasant front desk staff.\nComfortable bed.\n\nCons.\nSmall dated and gloomy room with a Tiny bathroom. The shower stall is the smallest shower I’ve ever used. The bathroom had no hooks to hang towels and the shower didn’t even have a place to set your soap or shampoo bottle down. The door into the bathroom bangs against the toilet and doesn’t fully open. The shower head sprayed water in every direction but on your body and the water pressure was terrible, probably due to lime scale build up !! ( * Note to owner. Submerge the shower head in a white vinegar solution for a few hours and then rinse to resolve this problem, or better still, spend a few quid on a new head. ) And there’s no ventilation in the bathroom that works, so it gets terribly steamy when showering and stinky if you do a number 2. With no air conditioning, the room got overly warm and stuffy, but it was too loud outside (especially at night) to have the window open. Cramped breakfast area. Tables too close together and there’s no air conditioning, so the room was unpleasantly stuffy. No Vegetarian options for the cooked breakfast. At check in I was told that we should have asked for it when we made the reservation. But then said they’ll try to get some delivered for our second day, but no veg sausages came on day 2 or day 3. (the day we checked out ) The coffee was drinkable, but tasted like instant and was served out of a thermos. There was no Decaf option either !! The selection of other breakfast items was sad too. Only one kind of tea, 3 types of cereals, brown or white bread and 1 type of sliced cheese. There were jams, but no Marmalade 😱😱 I just couldn’t believe that a hotel in London wouldn’t be bothered to have some veggie sausages on hand, or some soy or almond milk. The overall cleanliness of the property left a lot to be desired also. ** If you are thinking to stay here, I strongly recommend you spend time looking at other customer reviews on other sites before booking. There are some horror stories to say the least !!"

"Rooms very small needs to be updated, breakfast was terrible one bacon one egg to hard to eat one sausage and believe it or not on plum tomatoes.out of a tin. Kitchen staff need to be more hygienic we did not eat after that checked out early. I think the rooms need to be deep cleaned..would not stay again..on the up side.location is good and staff were helpful but otherwise this hotel (it a bed and breakfast only) needs re doing and pictures on booking.com.are.not real"

"The location was amazing but the rooms were not it. The humidity in it was horrible we had to change rooms and go a bigger one. The bathroom is really small and the shampoo and conditioner were so small they only gave us two. The breakfast was simple. The service was really nice tho."
