"When staying at a hotel, some aspects have different priorities for different people. Here's how we ranked ours.\n\nThe Good.\n\nLocation is top notch, 15-25 minutes walk to major attraction.\nPrice is great for the location.\nBeds were comfortable except pillows. Please provide better pillows.\nStaff is very helpful.\n\nThe OK.\n\nSmall room and bathroom but expected for an old building.\nBreakfast doesn't have anything cooked but it's variate enough.\nOverall cleanliness was OK.\nNoise was not an issue because we didn't have upstairs neighbours\n\nThe Bad.\n\nInterior furniture, lamps, etc. is outdated but not in a nice, aww way to make you think of Downtown Abbey.\n\nWe got cooked during the nights. One of the two windows was screwed in shut and the dusty, squeaky fan wasn't doing anything even when we put it near to the (only) open window. And somehow the room absorbed heat during the day and couldn't radiate it back fast enough during the night."

"What can I say….\n\nBlack mold under the sink\nRusty tap\nRusty shower head\nBadly Marked walls\nSuper glue all over the walls ??\nFire alarm woke us up, this caused a minor panic.\nYou can hear all the other rooms\nSomeone tried to come into our room 3x in the night also.\n\nStaff are polite and helpful - no problem with them at all.\n\nRooms need sorted."

"Very Disappointing Stay\n1. Room Completely Different from Website Photos\nThe room we were assigned looked completely different from the photos shown on the hotel’s website.\n2. Poor Ventilation\nThe basement room had no proper ventilation. The only way to get some air circulation was to keep the bathroom exhaust fan running.\n3. Uncomfortable Mattress\nThe mattress was poorly ventilated, causing us to sweat throughout the night.\n4. Serious Safety Concerns\nThe window of the room faced a corridor leading to the restaurant, where any guest could easily walk past or even climb into the room through the window. We felt extremely unsafe during our stay.\n5. Fraudulent Behavior at Checkout\nUpon check-in, we paid a £50 pet deposit. At checkout, the staff initially claimed they needed to deduct breakfast charges, even though we had already prepaid for breakfast online. After we clarified this, they changed their statement and said no deduction was necessary. However, during the refund process, the staff deliberately positioned the card machine where it was difficult for me to see, and only refunded £0.50. It was only after I immediately requested a receipt that they admitted a “mistake” and refunded the remaining £49.50. This made me seriously question the honesty and integrity of the staff.\n6. Missing Pet Amenities\nWe also paid an extra £30 pet fee, but no pet amenities (such as pet bowls, as stated on the website) were provided.\n7. Uncomfortable Toilet Design\nThe toilet bowl was square, but the seat was oval, making it very uncomfortable to use.\n\nOverall, this stay was very disappointing with multiple serious issues regarding room quality, safety, and staff honesty. I would not recommend this hotel."
