"To call the rooms small would be an insult to small. It's way tinier. Like micro sized.\n\nOverall an okay experience if you're new to the city. Too far from any tube station to walk there comfortably. Sure, a bus stops in front of the building, but that will cost you another £1.50 per trip.\n\nAbsolute worst part would have to be the washing machines. There's only 2 for 50 apartments. They are dirty themselves and all the way in the basement. So washing my clothes basically consisted of going down 5 flights of stairs (no elevators present) only to find out the washing machines were already in use. Leading to repeating the same disappointment half an hour later."

"I lived here for 3 months when I moved to London and it was the single most depressing place i've ever lived. Their communication was non-existent and I am completely shocked I got my deposit back (not because I broke anything, but because they just seemed like the kind of people that would 100% screw you over). It is staggeringly overpriced for what you get and honestly, it is simply not worth the extreme hassle of trying to deal with them. Their website might trick into thinking they're decent, but don't let a good web designer and some clever marketing fool you.\n\nBut hey, if money is no objection and you want a roof over your head then they deliver on that promise - but the winter can be tough with no hot water let me tell you. Moving to London is hard enough, don't make it harder for yourself."

"Very bad experience with The Collective. Although their concept is at first sight interesting and thoughtful, they have limited experience and capability in managing properties and tenants.\n\nIt's a good option if you want a very short stay in the meantime you find something better, otherwise stay away from it.\n\nI could compile a long list of reasons why you should avoid them. Among these: they had me change apartment 3 times and also assigned me the wrong one, so I had to swap a week later with the lady that occupied the one I signed for; very bad state of the room when I moved in (blocked pipes, rust in the bathroom, difficulty to get hot water) - took a while to get this sorted; pretty bad wi-fi in peak hours (evenings and weekends); cleaning is supposed to be part of monthly payment, but is done very superficially and sometimes I would find my sheets on the floor the night before the cleaning day - the same sheets that would go on my bed; for three times in my four months stay the cleaning lady left my apartment's door open after she left; finally, a stuffed toy my girlfriend had with her her whole life got lost one day after the cleaning day (my hypothesis is that the cleaning lady took it together with the sheets and sent it to the laundry company - never saw it again).\n\nNeedless to say I broke the contract and run as fast as I could from this place. All tenants I talked to in the building had similar bad experiences and were looking for ways to move out as soon as possible.\n\nAll in all, marketing, website and concept is great, but price is extremely high for such a poor delivery and service."
