"We recently stayed at the Canopy Hotel in London and overall, I’d rate it as a 3-star experience in terms of service.\n\nWe arrived around 2:30 PM (check-in was at 3), but the room wasn’t ready until 3:45. After a 7-hour flight and another hour from the airport, the wait was frustrating. The hotel didn’t offer anything، not even a coffee or snack for the kids during the wait time. Only after I asked directly did they offer one day of complimentary breakfast as compensation.The Persian lady at reception was very polite and helpful. She showed us the transfer lounge, but it was just a gym and shower، not practical for our situation.\n\nThe rooms were quite small for four people. While generally clean and modern, the housekeeping was poor، towels weren’t replaced, used tissues and small trash were left behind. One evening we came back to find the air-conditioning turned off, and the room had become warm and stuffy.\n\nOn the plus side, the room included a small fridge, a coffee maker with coffee pods, teabags, and a kettle for hot water، helpful for families. There was also a water cooler in the hallway, which was a nice touch. The hotel lobby was cozy and nicely designed with a nice bar. Several elevators working perfectly so no wait time even at busy hours، this was very good especially when your are so tired back from long walk in the city.\n\nThe breakfast buffet was okay، basic options, nothing memorable. We didn’t try the hotel restaurant nor the bar، so can’t comment on that.\n\nThe location was great, and our room had a lovely view of the Gherkin building. Staff were generally pleasant, but the overall lack of attention to detail in service and cleanliness was disappointing.\n\nWith some improvements in housekeeping and guest care, this hotel could offer a much better experience."

"We stayed here for a recent anniversary trip and it was just perfect. The team had made a special effort decorating our room and gave us a lovely little cake to share.\n\nThe room was fab, with a comfy bed and great views over the city. The rooftop bar was sensational, I would recommend booking a table though to avoid disappointment.\n\nWill definitely stay here again, as this wonderful and affordable by London standards hotel."

"A Nice Stay with Some Ups and Downs\nWe were welcomed in a very warm and professional way, which gave a great first impression. The room was nice, but the air quality in the room wasn’t great — the air felt heavy, which affected our sleep, and unfortunately, on the last night the AC stopped working completely. That same day there had been maintenance during the day, and at night the AC didn’t work at all. After showering, we even had to keep the door slightly open to the hallway just to breathe properly.\n\nBreakfast was good, even for us who don’t eat pork — there were no chicken cold cuts, but plenty of eggs, vegetables, cheese, and fresh fruit. The kids loved being able to order two small waffles each. The coffee machine made excellent coffee, especially a great flat white!\n\nHowever, the atmosphere at breakfast wasn’t particularly welcoming, except for Molly and Silvio, whom we really appreciated during our four-day stay (11.07–15.07). They were attentive, friendly, always greeted us with a smile and remembered the children’s orders. This is something the rest of the staff could learn from.\n\nOverall, a mixed experience: great welcome, good food, and lovely staff like Molly and Silvio, but some issues with air quality and AC made the stay less comfortable than it could have been."
