Sultanahmet Deluxe Hotel

"Very unpleasant experience. I cannot say anything nice about the hotel!\nThe room was very smelly, the WiFi was almost non existent, the hot water was stopping all the time, the staff didn't speak basic English, the sheets were dirty and smelly.\nI tried to request printing services but the staff could not even open their email to receive the mail from me. If I wanted to complain they were just laughing at me.\nThey even reported to Booking that I didn't show for my reservation and Booking nearly charged me for no show. Probably to avoid my negative comment there.\nDo not stay at Sultanahmet Deluxe hotel!"

"We were A party of six, Two adults and four children. They provided us with one towel! We took the third floor two bedroom, so called, suite. It was one bedroom and a living room. The living room had a sofa bed and a single bed. However, there were three windows two of which did not have curtains on them. The sun came into the room early in the morning and we were unable to do anything about it. The balcony is shared with the room next-door. We stayed here for two nights. we originally made A booking for five nights however, we were unable to tolerate the circumstances. They had no toilet paper, the shower sprays directly and drains onto the bathroom floor creating hazardous circumstances. Two of our little ones slipped in there twice. When we tried to cancel the remainder of the stay, there was nobody to take a cancellation at the front desk. The person that was there was a sleep and it took us a good 15 minutes to wake him up, when he woke up he said that he can’t do anything about it and we had to wait till 5 PM on the person in charge show up. When I came back to the hotel after checking the family into another hotel the person said that the day had already passed and that he can’t reimburse the amount. After a lengthy back-and-forth he charged us for that night but not for the reminder only because I had paid him in cash one night and was supposed to pay the rest on the day that we decided to check out. Very poor quality Hotel and not recommended at all. Definitely our worst experiences in Istanbul."

"Staying at this hotel was a great experience. What I have to say first, after two weeks, is that I planned first to stay for three days, but I decided to take 11 nights more.\nWhy? Because it was the cheapest one, close to all the places to see. Some people said bad things about this hotel but I really enjoyed it. You have the tram at Sultanahmet (5-10 mins maximum). I want to thank Mehmet personally for his help and kindness. He was very welcoming and helpful for anything I needed.\nI will definitely come back there for my next travels in Istanbul!"
