"Amofta was the first time I ever stayed in a boutique hotel instead of one of the big chains, and it was probably my (as well as my wife’s) favorite experiences. From the moment we booked, they made the effort to reach out and communicate with us over WhatsApp regarding transportation options from the airport. Any other questions we had they were more than willing to answer via text or call.\n\nThe hotel is on a colorful street full of character in the Taksim Square neighborhood, walking distance from many eateries and the Taksim metro station, making it accessible to any part of the city the metro serves.\n\nThe staff are incredibly friendly, willing to help you with any need.\n\nThe best part is I felt like I was in a movie any time I stepped in. The staff would greet you and genuinely care about whatever the topic of conversation was.\n\nOur room was street facing and all night there was some action going on. This may not be everyone’s cup of tea if you are looking for quiet seclusion, but to me, this is part of the draw of staying in the heart of a city.\n\nThe first night we kept the windows closed, and it drowned out most of the street noise, but after that we kept the windows open to soak in the vibrant sounds of the city. People laughing and joking all night, little kids playing in streets (at 1 am!!! 🫣) people just busting out singing in Arabic out of nowhere. It was a great break from living in the suburbs of the US."
