Tongtara Riverview Hotel

"While the hotel exterior and common areas appear attractive, we were very disappointed with the condition of the rooms. We booked three rooms and unfortunately all three were in poor condition and clearly in need of renovation.\nIn each room the bathroom floor was constantly wet due to water leaking or pooling even when the shower had not been used, despite efforts to dry the floor the water would return, making the environment uncomfortable.\n\nThe bed was very uncomfortable — it was extremely firm and made loud noises with even the slightest movement, which made it difficult to get a proper night’s sleep. In addition the bedsheet had several holes and noticeable stains, including what appeared to be oil marks in multiple areas. This significantly impacted the overall cleanliness and comfort of the room.\n\nAdditionally we found the operating hours for the pool and fitness center to be highly inconvenient. Opening at 10:00 AM and closing again at 6:00 PM does not accommodate guests who wish to enjoy these facilities in the early morning or evening — which is typically when many prefer to exercise or relax.\nRegrettably, our stay felt more stressful than enjoyable.\n\nBased on our experience,, we would not recommend this hotel to others looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.\n\nThe service was great but not worth the price and hassle of the rooms."

"The staff were very friendly but their English was a bit rough to say the least. The room was large with a good, firm bed and nice river view however the bathroom with leaking water is need of a total renovation. The location is not great with only buses going towards the centre. The boats that connect the nearby Asiatique Centre (600 m away) with the further boat services don't start until 4pm. And the centre itself doesn't open until 4pm"

The location is a major plus, with easy access to Asiatique, the pier, Grand Palace, and IconSiam, making sightseeing and shopping convenient.\n\nOverall, it’s a family-friendly hotel with spacious rooms and a great riverside location, perfect for exploring Bangkok!"
