Galleria 12 Sukhumvit Bangkok by Compass Hospitality

"I actually wanted to book Galleria 10, but the room I wanted was sold out. So Galleria 12 it was.\nMy Missus and I booked the “suite” which is a big room and probably good value for money. Big Ref, Microwave, sitting area, desk for working. Good water pressure in shower. Silent and good aircon.\nWe were in 3rd floor. The view a bit higher up would be probably nicer, but we were not in Bangkok to look out of the window.\nRoom service was not really good. They took garbage, replaced used toiletries, made the bed and changed towels (most of the time), one day we had 4, the other day only 2. However, they never cleaned the floor in the 6 days. I left some candy wrapper (obvious) lying on the floor the first day, it was still there, when we checked out 5 days later.\nBreakfast was fine to start the day, and with no other options in direct neighborhood a good idea to book with the room. Staff overall was friendly and helpful.\nJumped in the pool only 2 times for 5 minutes refreshing. Nothing to write home about, but better than no pool.\nLocation is a bit further back from Sukhumvit Rd and it is a good 5 minute walk. Sadly, there is nothing in the Soi other than 1 restaurant. Most other Soi have way more to offer like shops and street food. But it was nice and quiet, which is of course a big “Plus”.\nGeneral location is fantastic with Asak- and Nana Station as well as shopping malls and 2 entertainment districts in walking distance. May book again, but with that many options in this area, I also may end up at another place. Time will tell."

"This place is great value. The location is a nice haven and relief from the craziness of Sukhumvit. Swimming pool refreshing. The room was great although can be a little loud from the neighbouring room if you have a connecting door. The staff are great and I miss not having an egg chef in my life daily, that guy is an egg master! Also we were staying there during the earthquake and the staff were so quick to check the building and put reassuring messages around the place. Honestly this place was brilliant. Thank you to all the staff!"

"Quite okay for the price. The hotel is in a fairly quiet location, but it's a bit of a walk coming from the main road. The hotel feels a bit run-down, and I found the room a bit dirty. It could have been cleaned much more thoroughly. The room was missing a shower mat, small hand and face towels, and a luggage rack. The refrigerator was very weak, but the mattress was super comfortable."
