Furama Silom Bangkok Hotel

"Nice big room, but half the plugs don't work, there's not even a single teaspoon or anything resembling cutlery, just a fridge and a kettle. The staff are lovely, it's not the most walkable zone, but not too bad. All a bit steer, the roof and pool areas too, but basically comfortable, and definitely clean."

"The staff were extremely unprofessional and unfriendly throughout my stay. From the moment I checked in, their behavior was cold and dismissive. Any concerns I raised were either ignored or met with a careless attitude.\n\nTo make things worse, basic amenities that were clearly listed during booking,such as bathrobes and slippers were not provided in the room. Despite multiple requests, no effort was made to deliver them or explain why they were missing.\n\nThe food was another major letdown. As an Indian vegetarian traveler, I was shocked to find there were hardly any vegetarian options available. The breakfast buffet was very limited for vegetarians, and the hotel made no attempt to accommodate dietary needs, even after raising the issue.\n\nOverall, this stay fell far below expectations in terms of service, comfort, and hospitality. I would not recommend Furama Silom to anyone, especially Indian travelers or those looking for even basic courtesy from hotel staff."

Located in this area is the Furama Silom, Bangkok, a 4-star hotel that stands out for its excellent location and friendly, professional staff who truly strive to provide excellent service, especially to the predominantly Spanish-speaking clientele that frequents it.\n\nHowever, the hotel is in desperate need of renovation. The rooms are spacious, yes, but outdated, with poor maintenance and cleanliness issues. The lack of oversight is noticeable, as some basic details are neglected. Overall, the hotel feels abandoned by management.\n\nThe rooftop pool, which could be one of its main attractions due to its views, is poorly designed and not at all accessible. There are no stairs or handrails to enter or exit the water, not even in the shallow end (barely one meter), which is a hazard for many guests. The surrounding ground is scorching in the sun, and there is no shaded area for the sun loungers. It's a poorly laid-out space, clearly lacking in consideration for guest comfort and safety.\n\nIn short, while the location and staff are strong points, the Furama Silom doesn't live up to the standards of a 4-star hotel. The lack of maintenance, accessibility, and modernization make it far from what it promises. A shame, because it has potential.\n\n"
