Beat Hotel Bangkok

"The location of this hotel and the ambience around it is great, However, the service of the hotel is terrible. I was greeted by a front desk lady named Pan (chubby with short hair) during my check-in. She mentioned the room I booked was not available hence they are willing to upgrade me. I was okay with that. We then proceed with the payment (as I chose the option pay when stay) and I was able to check in to my new room. 5 minutes later, I was heading out to Rajamangala Stadium to pickup my concert ticket. It was when I come down and Pan stop me in my track and said she had to move me to the condominium opposite as there were some issues . When I asked her what the issues was, she only answered "is our mistake" and nothing else..... This was unacceptable as my payment was made already to this hotel. So, you are telling me you took my money but wants me to stay at another place? This is ridiculous!!! With the kidnapping issue lately in Thailand, there are reason why I chose to stay at a hotel instead of airbnb, for security purpose. Me and my friends had to argue back and forth for quite some time then only she said we can stay at the hotel. During the argument, only then Pan revealed that the hotel was booked by a production team months ago, and what's even funnier, she mentioned I booked earlier than the production team but now, she has to move me out. If you knew your whole hotel is being booked, shouldn't you cancel my booking in the first place? But no, I still receive email reminding my stay at the hotel is in a few days before my trip to Bangkok. And you still let me check in to the hotel even though the production was already staying at the hotel. Very ridiculous and unprofessional, both the hotel management and this Pan lady."

"Room is great, staff is great...developer could not care less about the people who live here. Try to find a sidewalk? It's a circus and they just let a big Japanese restaurant open that is going to blast music and it takes up the entire sidewalk"

"Here are my pros and cons -\n\nPros- great service- all staff were very hospitable, great location right by the W market - lots of food options.\n\nCons- Uninspiring breakfast- it was cheap but literally was fried egg/ sausage and some salad(small quantities). They should either upgrade their options or not offer it.\n-basic rooms\n- room was fairly clean but could have been better e.g. water stains on shower etc\n\nThe hotel was also empty- so not ideal for a solo traveller(like I was). Additionally the view from hotel was limited.\n\nFor slightly more money- one can get a high floor in a different hotel with a good view and better breakfast, and better rooms."
