"At 21 Saladaeng is also known by "Saladaeng Colonnade".\n\nLocation-wise, it's close to the mall, local street services and local street food. A food market is literally a stone's throw away opposite the hotel, and the parent road Soi Silom and parallel street Soi Convent are flanked with local street food stalls, restaurants and services.\n\nThe overhead BTS and underground MRT are less than 10 mins walk away.\n\nThe hotel does not serve breakfast, but higher end international breakfast at prices offered at Baan Dusit Thani, opposite the hotel. Alternatively, there is a local food market literally a stone throw away.\n\nA little dated, but still relatively well maintained because of its internal colonial look and feel. For the price paid for my Executive one bedder, the hotel should at least keep up to times, e.g., the hotel should at least offer a good in-room coffee machine like Nespresso, and English and Chinese/Japanese tea bags, instead of cheap Nescafe instant coffee granules, Coffeemate, sugar, and Lipton or Boh tea bags. This is no longer the 1980s.\n\nMy room has a kitchenette, but a little dated. Mould marks here and there.\n\nBed in a separate bedroom was relatively comfortable. However, the pillows were not. Bedroom windows open up to the inner courtyard, and any one who walks past could peer in.\n\nThe water pressure was a little low even though I was on the 2nd floor. The water was not as hot as I would like to be even on max, but it was good enough for showers.\n\nUnlike most hotels these days, whether you need your room tidied or cleaned, or instruct the chambermaid not to disturb, at this hotel, you need to put the door tag out. Regardless, no one came to tidy my room even after I put the tag out for 2 different days. The chambermaid only came after I had alerted the Receptionist, also twice.\n\nSmall gym and swimming pool--relatively unused.\n\nA high end Italian restaurant Zanotti sits by the hotel, which I believe is part of the hotel. I had dinner there. Good food, but at international prices.\n\nIf I am not fussed with modernity, then I would return because of the convenience. However, if the hotel does not upgrade its in-room coffee and tea bar, I would not return."

"Our stay was very comfortable. The place has definitely a lot of character. We rented two bedroom apartment which was spacious and very well maintained despite the age of the building. The quality of basic amenities such as shower, water pressure, towels, bed, pillows, etc is very good. Pillows were super comfortable. Beds could be hit and miss. The twin bedroom had soft mattresses while the double bedroom had a very hard Thai style mattress and it took a while to get used to its firmness. Yet we had a comfortable sleep. The aircon is a bit noisy and the two bedroom apartment is facing the main street (ours was on level 2) which does have some motorcycle traffic. The hotel did a great job here fitting the windows with an amazing noise insulation system. But if you are a light sleeper, I do recommend earplugs. I could not hear a thing with my earplugs in my ears though. The biggest issue for me was the fact that the window curtains are white and let the light in which is particularly annoying because our apartment was on level 2 and there was a street lamp not far from the window, so the room was just too bright during the night. From other downsides - there is a pool but very small one so if you want a great rooftop pool, this is not a place for you; the reception somehow has a feel of a dated bed and breakfast and everything seems a little old fashioned, including keys to the apartment - it would be much better if there was an electronic card system to open the door so that we could just carry key cards rather than those clunky sets of keys. The whole place does have a charm but is definitely not modern, so it may not suit all types of travelers. There is a parking available under the building. The hotel does not serve breakfast but there are many great choices at your doorstep considering this amazing location. We would consider staying here again but please replace the window curtains to block off the street lamp light!"

"Here’s a more polished and optimized version of your Google Maps review:\n\n⸻\n\nAlways a great stay here. Tucked away in a quiet spot amid the bustle of Silom, the location offers the best of both worlds—peace and convenience. Excellent value during non-peak seasons. While breakfast isn’t offered, Bangkok’s fantastic food scene more than makes up for it. The staff are consistently courteous, warm, and professional, adding greatly to the overall experience."
