"Honestly I was prepared to not like the room because we had a bit of a snafu. My young son had a potential mix up and we might have had to have him come stay with us one night, he's 10. The room we had was a 2 person studio, but way more than sufficient to have accommodated him last minute. We weren't trying to cheat the system, it was just a last minute misstake by his soccer camp. They were adamant that we could not stay in the room if he came, and I would have been happy to pay more if that was the issue. The room was larger than the room we'd stayed in london, which allowed three people, quite a bit larger, it's just that it only had one bed, which would have been fine for us, he's not very large. Luckily the camp sorted it out and put him in with some other kids and it became a non issue. Took a point off for the bad customer service and inability to help us out in a jam, which ended up not being a jam.\n\nOn the other hand, the room was very large, nice kitchen, nice bathroom (though a tiny bit of mildew in the bottom, very minor), all clean, and they had these nice welcome kits (coffee, and a cleaning sponge), so in the end our visit was pretty nice and we liked the location for us. I'd recommend, but ask that they try and be more flexible with guests, had the room not been so nice I would have left a bad review for such an inability to help out. We couldn't figure out the AC unit, it only seemed to spew out heat, which was a bummer. We opened the windows, which did a great job of cooling the room, but then we had to hear seriously loud garabage trucks and other trucks for a few hours which sucked. It finally quieted down early in the AM."

"We got a room that had a very tiny window and didn't represent the ad. However, Sean helped us switch to another room with no problem and quickly. We are very much happy with our current room with 2 huge windows. Overall, the place is amazing, service is wow! And location is even better. 10/10 I recommend. Thank you Sean and Rebecca for helping us move rooms so quickly."

"The place is perfectly located just a few steps from Gran Vía and very close to Puerta del Sol. It is laid out in two areas: downstairs there’s a small kitchen, a bathroom, and the living room with a sofa bed, and upstairs there’s a loft of very good size with the main bed. It has two fairly spacious closets. The stairs to the loft can be very difficult for an elderly person or if you’re not in good shape. We were welcomed with two small bottles of water, some snacks, and a pair of earplugs. The place is self-service—there’s no reception, everything is automated. The key is digital and sent to you by email along with your room number. If you don’t have internet access during your trip, this could be a big problem. For example, when we arrived, we saw three older women who had been waiting outside for a while, hoping someone would come in, as they didn’t have a code. If it hadn’t been for us, who knows how long they would have stayed out there. Once inside, there was an employee who was able to assist them. That was also just luck, since we didn’t see that employee again—like I said, everything is digital.\n\nThe downside: at night, the garbage truck comes by and it sounds like it’s right inside your room. We only stayed one night, and I’m not sure I would stay again, because even though the place is very nice, I wouldn’t have been able to stand the noise of the garbage truck every night."
