"It is disappointing to have to leave a bad review of our recent visit to Jardines de Sabatini as the staff are very pleasant and efficient, and the accommodation, whilst undistinguished, is clean and well maintained.\nHOWEVER, the main photograph on the website prominently portrays panoramic views from the roof terrace bar and there is an unequivocal assurance that this area is available to guests 24/7; the exact wording is: "Hotel guests have exclusive access all year long". THEY DON'T and we didn't. On two of the three nights that we stayed there, the terrace was let out for a private function and hotel guests denied any access. Whilst mention is made of the possibility of hiring the space, there is no suggestion that the entire area will be taken over. And also quite unnecessary as it would be perfectly easy to separate and screen off an area for guests if a private booking was made.\nThe availability of this amenity was the main reason why we chose to stay at Jardines de Sabatini and not somewhere more centrally located. We anticipated that, after a tiring day seeing the sights of Madrid, it would be very agreeable not to have to go out and look for a restaurant but rather to be able to while away time enjoying the views in the warm evening sunshine with food and drink immediately to hand.\nIn short we feel that the management deliberately mislead their guests for reasons of pure greed and consequently recommend that if you are considering booking there you make quite sure - and obtain written prior confirmation, that the bar will be available whilst you are there.\nOtherwise, beware.."

"Very good hotel to stay with family. We were three and the room was big enough to accommodate us. Views of the palace from room were so good and if that is not enough one can have dinner at their roof top restaurant with panoramic view of the palace. Dinner options are limited but overall a great experience. Staff was so so warm and friendly. Five minutes walk and one is in the middle old town and major attractions."

"The breakfast is varied, with good quality products. The hotel's location is very good for exploring the city center without using public transportation. The room is spacious with quality furniture, the mattress is comfortable, the sheets and pillows are of good quality. There is an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom that can be felt throughout the room. For this reason, you cannot keep the window closed. We've been blessed with bearable temperatures and we could keep the window open, without air conditioning. Although the room description mentions a bidet, it was missing from the bathroom. Some towels are old and worn. Breakfast could be included in the room price."
