"Sharing our experience with this male receptionist at nighttime:\n\nWe came in yesterday at 11 pm. As soon as we entered the door, no greetings/no eye contact/no nothing, he just continued doing what he was doing and ignored us. That’s okay because some people can have a personality that we don’t understand due to cultural differences so we went ahead and asked him if we can do check in now. He looked at us as if he just found out that there were 2 living people standing here and he replied “Hola, first” in a tone that makes you feel like we are the ones that were not polite enough to say hello to him and greet him first. Our first mistake, we should’ve greet him and bow to him first as stepped into the hotel.\n\nWe then told him that we were already here earlier in the noon around 12pm trying to do check in with his colleague but the room wasn’t ready so we stored our luggages here. I don’t know if that somehow offended him or what, he replied“ NO! the room wasn’t ‘not ready’, the check in starts at 2pm.” Ummm, okay? Yes, we know the check in starts at 2pm, we are not trying to blame you for not letting us in at noon. We were just simply lay-outing the information that we already came and most importantly that our luggages are already here because there were nothing left at the front desk area from what we can see so we were a little concerned. Don’t understand where the attitude came from all of a sudden.\n\nWe didn’t react to his attitude as we are tired and just wanted to finish the check in and go sleep asap. I gave him my passport to have him looking for the booking information. He found my booking, reconfirmed the names and everything, then he looked at my husband and asked him “Are you also staying or you are leaving?”\n\nFirst of all, Bruh, it’s 11pm and we apparent-tourist-looking people showed up at a hotel, what could we possibly be doing here? Second, you clearly already found my booking which has all the information of how many guests there are.\n\nSo the answer is: no he is just browsing around in the city, somehow buzzed the door and magically showed up at your hotel but ,after I finish checked in he just gonna leave and sleep on the streets.\n\nWe felt speechless at this point but my husband still answered yes he is staying. Then the receptionist said “ if you are staying, I need your passport too”.\nOh, so it turned out you just want his passport.\nOur second mistake. We are VERY VERY sorry that we didn’t promptly gave both passports at the very beginning so it wasted 30 seconds of your life. And how dare we, just 2 stupid and immature tourists to have the honor of having you have to ask us for it.\n\nAfter check in is finally done, he explained where the breakfast is and stuff. After he finished explaining, I asked him the question that’s been haunting us the whole time “Sorry, could you tell me where’s our luggages?”\nHe gave us “the most beautiful smile”in the world and replied“what do you think? ”\nHAHA.\nOur third mistake for even caring about our luggages that had been with you guys for almost 11 hours since noon.\nSo let me think…\nOur luggages are: UP IN YOUR ASS.\n🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄"

"Excellent location right in Puerta del Sol. Rooms were pretty good, clean, quiet and everything works. We just didnt like the sink next to the beds. Shower had good pressure and hot water excellent. Bathroom clean and works. Service is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is basic."

"Disappointing Experience - Avoid This Hostel!\n\nThe sink was next to the bed. The shower was dirty with hair and stains everywhere. To make matters worse, I found bedbugs in my bed. The noise level was also unbearable, with loud chatter coming from a bar nearby. It was impossible to get a good night's sleep."
