Novotel Barcelona City

"We have stayed at this Novotel before and were very satisfied with our stay, so we easily decided to book it again for a second time. First off, Ivan at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming, trying to get us rooms on the same floor as our friends even though we did not plan ahead to do this, it was very thoughtful. Bernard (spelling?) at the bar/restaurant on the rooftop was absolutely lovely! He even tried to call down to Ivan to ask about a drink Ivan had recommended when we had checked in, and we couldn’t remember the name of. He went above and beyond and had amazing customer service and kindness. He was one of the highlights of our stay. Beyond that, we did have a problem with the AC in our room, not working properly, but the front desk responded quickly to that and got us a change of rooms; the breakfast at the hotel was also delicious and worth the cost. My only true frustration and complaint came from The rooftop being closed on Saturday evening from 17:30 to midnight. This was not made aware to us when we booked the hotel, and several of the staff members didn’t even realize it was going to be closed. While , that was frustrating, we took it in stride, however, it was not mentioned that there would be a huge party with a DJ on top that would go until midnight. We had a flight the next morning and had to get up at 5:40am and my two kids could not go to sleep until after the rooftop party shut down because of how loud it was. This definitely is something that I would have considered, and honestly booked a different hotel or asked for a low level floor, if I had known that this was going on. I think in the future if you know that something like this could affect your guest stay you should email them ahead of time and allow them a different option."

"Fantastic experience in this hotel. Everything perfect, rooms perfectly clean, very kind personnel, the pool and the bar on the roof with an amazing view on all the city.\nVery good restaurant, all fresh and with high quality, everything was delicious. We were for a dinner and went back for the lunch of the day after. Also breakfast very reach, fresh and homemade. Martina and Nacho were so kind with us, especially with our two sons. Also the location Is perfect, very closed to the subway and not so far from the Sea."

"It's not a 4-star hotel. it's only 2 star maximum,\nFor the amount we paid it 320 Euro per night and the services we get, it's not worth it overpriced ,\nthey don't provide water in the rooms. The cleaners they just open the door without permission every time, and hotel they don't provide concierge services if you have luggage.\n\nGood location\nGood breakfast"
