"Not Quite What We Expected – Some Major Drawbacks\n\nWe had high hopes for our stay at Lisbon Inn Bica Suites, but unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet our expectations.\n\nThe apartment was much smaller than anticipated and felt quite cramped, especially without a proper window for ventilation, which made it a bit stuffy. One of the biggest challenges was the noise — we were frequently disturbed at night by sounds from the hallway, particularly bins being moved down the stairs. The door was quite thin and didn’t help with sound insulation, which made restful sleep difficult.\n\nThere were also a few inconveniences that added up. For example, we were told a hair dryer would be available, but the one in the room was broken and couldn’t be used. Some of the furniture also felt a bit flimsy, which made us hesitant to use it comfortably.\n\nWe were also surprised that the room wasn’t cleaned during our stay — aside from daily towel changes, no additional housekeeping was provided, which affected the overall comfort over time.\n\nThat said, the location is excellent — very central and within easy walking distance to many attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful during the booking process and check-in, which we appreciated.\n\nWhile there were a few positives, the overall experience didn’t quite work for us. With some improvements, this place could be a much more pleasant option, but for now, we’d recommend exploring other accommodations in Lisbon."

"The apartment we were given was not the one we had booked. It was essentially a corridor, with the bed faced right at the door that leads onto the street. Vents in the door allow you to see the silhouttes of all the passersby, and no soundproofing allows you to hear them fine too. On top of that, the door is pin code activated, and the pin is stressfully uncomplicated, so with all that in mind, the apartment felt very insecure. Luckily we were visiting in a more down season, so the street was not too rowdy. The apartment was cleaned by room service every-morning, which was nice, but the room remained generally sort of unclean, especially the bathroom, which frequently had bugs running through it. The shower itself has multiple rusty nails sticking out of the walls. Why? No clue. Seems fairly easy to just take them out. One night while trying to sleep, the rain had been particularly severe pre-empting the next days storm, and actual sewer water starts filling up in the shower. Luckily It didn’t flood the room, but the smell was so horrid we had to flee the room immediatley and head to a bar. Other than these issues the apartment is perfectly suitable for a short stay in a downtime period such as march, And incredibly cheap for the great location. However if you plan to visit in peak tourist periods, look for somewhere else."

"I wish I could give zero stars. This was, without a doubt, the worst night I’ve ever had in any accommodation.\n\nFirst of all, the room we booked was not the room we got. The bed was broken in the middle, making it impossible to sleep comfortably—not that we got any sleep anyway, thanks to what happened next.\n\nAround 1 AM, a man upstairs started screaming like a lunatic. He kept this up for over two hours, banging on doors as if he was trying to break in. It was absolutely terrifying. I didn’t dare to leave my room because I didn’t feel safe. The lights in the building kept going on and off, doors slammed repeatedly, and the whole situation felt completely out of control. At 3 AM, I was seriously considering leaving for a hotel instead.\n\nWhen we informed the hosts, their response was far from reassuring. If you're looking for a safe and peaceful stay where you actually get what you booked, stay far away from this place."
