"The hotel is a mix of 50's 60's shabby chic that works. There are layers of both the new and not so new that suggests at some point this was a very swanky hotel. Though today the décor can look a little tired the furniture is bang on retro trend.\n\nOur family room had two rooms; almost like an apartment. Bathroom is functional and clean. Loved the embroidered logo on the shower curtain. Beds comfy, double glazed windows and air conditioning - what more could a family visiting Lisbon need. All major sights within walking distance too.\n\nHowever watch out for asking for tea and coffee for your room, especially for those expecting these things to included in the room rate. Tried to change us 12 Euros for tea bags and coffee pods! Apart from that (and gross behaviour from groups of travellers at breakfast) a good stay in Lisbon in a lovely shabby chic hotel."

"The elevator is from the last century. The breakfast room is to small. Some members of the staff would need some training in the management of service. The rest of the staff are kind and competent. The hotel is quite quiet. Overall three stars."

"I had a system bug while reserving a hotel, so ended up with reservation one month in advance from necessary date. Stuff was helpful on the phone to change it however, instead of a normal room for which I paid the fool price, they put me in the room located in basement with no windows, worn out bed, no closet,old bathroom(although there were more then 4 room availability at that day for the same price as per receptionist) So spent a night fearing to turn off the light since it seemed that doors can be easily opened and with all the noise around wasn't easy to fall asleep. Next day asked to order a taxi and ended up having taxi driver charging almost twice as normal price from Lisbon centre. So even if the hotel is ordering it, make sure that taxi company is trustable."
