"I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Hotel Anjos in Lisbon was unfortunately very disappointing. One of the main issues was the behavior of the hotel owner, who was consistently rude, especially during breakfast. Instead of creating a welcoming environment for guests, she was uncooperative and dismissive when approached with even the simplest questions or requests.\n\nWhat made the stay even more uncomfortable was how noticeably stingy the management was. The owner frequently instructed staff to turn off lights, even in common areas that were clearly in use by guests. It created an awkward and uninviting atmosphere throughout the hotel.\n\nThe breakfast was another letdown. Options were extremely limited, and the exact same items were served every single day with no variation at all. It felt more like a cost-saving measure than any real attempt to provide a decent experience for guests.\n\nOverall, I would not recommend Hotel Anjos. There are many better and more hospitable places to stay in Lisbon."

"A Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs\n\nI recently stayed at hotel Anjou , and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. From the moment I checked in, the customer service was appalling. The two older women working at the front desk were shockingly rude and unprofessional. They seemed irritated by even the simplest questions, treating guests as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying customers.\n\nTo make matters worse, there were three male staff members who genuinely seemed to want to help, but every time they tried, they were harshly reprimanded by these two women. It was uncomfortable to witness and made the entire situation even more awkward. Their behavior created a hostile atmosphere that completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing stay.\n\nI cannot stress enough how unpleasant this experience was. The lack of basic courtesy and respect from the staff, particularly the two older women, is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. I strongly advise against staying here. Save yourself the frustration and book somewhere else"

"Quite the dump. Creative photos on the website really don't tell the tale. Pokey room, cracked bathroom furniture, a view of laundry hanging on the next door balcony. Front desk staff who grunt.\nDon't bother, go elsewhere."
