"Great staff. Location doesn’t have great amenities and is quite visually unappealing, but much cheaper and quieter than central Amsterdam and is right by train and tram stop. Very good kitchen and social areas. Quiet section of hotel for family bedrooms. Just wished bedroom windows opened!"

"Our stay was very pleasant. The rooms are spacious, the kitchen is well equipped, and the breakfast area is really nice. The same goes for the playroom for kids, very useful and appreciated :)\n\nThe only thing that could be improved is the cleanliness of the tables. I understand that the space is meant to be self-managed, but unfortunately not everyone is careful. A quick wipe-down of the tables every few hours would make a big difference."

"Stayed 4 Nights as a Family – Disappointing Overall\n\nThe only clear advantage of this hotel is its location. It is conveniently close to the Flixbus stop, as well as the train and metro stations. Other than that, our experience as a family was far from satisfactory. In fact, it felt more like staying in a student dormitory than a hotel.\n\nRoom Conditions and Climate Control:\nThe ventilation system runs 24/7 and is locked at 20°C, making the rooms uncomfortably cold, especially at night. To make matters worse, the windows do not open, which means there’s no access to fresh air – a major issue for ventilation and comfort. Guests should have the ability to adjust the temperature or at least open a window.\n\nCleanliness and Maintenance:\nThe rooms are small and poorly cleaned. Dust accumulates easily, carpets smell musty, and cleaning staff only seem to remove trash even after specific complaints. The hallways have a strong odor, and the general cleanliness falls short of basic hotel standards.\n\nNoise and Shared Spaces:\nThe lobby is constantly loud and chaotic, filled with large groups of children running around and shouting. Seating is extremely limited – only two couches for the entire area. Despite the images suggesting a lively but cozy atmosphere, the reality is far more stressful and overcrowded.\n\nBreakfast Experience:\nBreakfast is served in a setting that resembles a school cafeteria – loud, messy, and lacking hygiene. Guests are expected to carry their own plates, cups, and cutlery to a washing machine. This self-service approach detracts significantly from the overall hospitality experience.\n\nShared Kitchen:\nThere is a shared kitchen available, which sounds useful in theory. However, in practice, it becomes a noisy, smelly space where everyone is trying to cook at once. The entire lobby fills with mixed food odors and kitchen noise, making it hard to relax or socialize.\n\nOverall Verdict:\nNot suitable for families seeking a clean, calm, and comfortable environment. While it may work for large youth groups or short stays focused purely on location, the lack of proper hygiene, ventilation control, and general comfort make this far from a true “hotel” experience. I would not recommend it to families or travelers with expectations of hotel-standard services."
