"Would definitely recommend a stay here when travelling to Amsterdam, great location and the room was beautiful and a good size for 3 people. More importantly the guy working the front desk was amazing, he was so kind and helpful with sight seeing and restaurant recommendations. I unfortunately never caught his name but he made a lasting impression on us, one we will remember for ever.\n\nLots of love from the 3 girls from Canada!"

"I live in the neighborhood and have had family stay at this hotel before. Their experience was average, nothing special. However, what happened yesterday was absolutely shocking and unacceptable.\n\nI was walking nearby with my 3-year-old when she suddenly needed to use the bathroom—a typical emergency for a child that age. Since we were right by the hotel, I quickly asked the concierge if she could use theirs. He refused outright. First, he told me in English that they “didn’t have a bathroom” (which is clearly absurd for a hotel!). When I insisted—since we didn’t have time to go anywhere else—he simply switched to Dutch, which we don’t speak, and began ignoring us entirely.\n\nThis was incredibly disrespectful and cold. It showed zero compassion, zero professionalism, and a total lack of basic human decency.\n\nI would never recommend this place again—not to my visiting family, not to neighbors, not to anyone. If this is how they treat members of the local community, especially parents with small children in need, then it speaks volumes about their values. Shameful."

"I spent three nights in this hotel and I definitely leave a 5 star review because of the general impression and atmosphere. It's quite far from the centre (around 20 min walk) but there's a tram stop nearby. The rooms are accessed by steep stairs which are fun to use when you come in the evening. The hotel has lovely garden where you can rest or chat. The staff is amazing. The rooms are clean however the dryer is old style and the water comes through the shower door. The amenities are amazing, we even got toothbrush and toothpaste set. There's a free coffee/tea machine which might seem a small advantage but actually it's super nice."
