Tosei Hotel Cocone Kanda

"A well priced hotel, varying room sizes. Poor checkout experience.\n\nOur baby was sick, at about 12am i went to the front desk to organise late check out, knowing he gets his best sleep from about 9am-11am, they told me it would be 1100yen per hour per room, which i said was fine. At 10:10am they called both of our rooms, waking up the baby. If you don't have a child you wouldn't understand, but now it will be a tough day with a tired, sick baby. They then still firmly wanted the money for late check out. It wasn't about the money, but not even an apology was offered. I was told "it is our room". Not very happy about that .\n\nThe rooms are basic but generally neat and tidy. We had 2 rooms, one was fine, the other smelt like a gym bag. A one night stay we didn't bother making any fuss, especially being a family wanting to be next to one another.\n\nThe staff were so sweet at check in. They speak English really well. The morning staff didn't have the same level of english and were really cold compared to the evening staff.\n\nLaundry room available, smoking and non smoking. Ice machine, but no ice buckets.\n\nA budget friendly hotel with what I'd call good value.\n\nFood options are really a 7-10minute walk. A lot of other hotels are closer but you'll pay 50-100% more for those.\n\nRooms have no power without your card in the slot, that may be related to price again, but for me, i want to come back to a cool room, not a hot one. And even on a mid floor, it is warm without air conditioning on.\n\nBasic bathroom. Carpets a little dirty from spills etc. Linen is all good and that is what is important.\n\nMake sure you get a larger room if you have a lot of luggage or stroller for baby etc."

"Super easy experience getting room set up, just give your passport to the clerk and sign something. Rooms are small if you're used to NA hotels but it still has everything you need. They include slippers you can wear during your stay!\n\nThe water here is super refreshing, and the soaps they choose feel and smell great. A very relaxing place that is quiet and still within walking distance of everything you'd wanna do here. Definitely recommended!"

The room was just the right size for a solo traveler: compact but comfortable and well-designed. The bathroom reminded me of one you'd find on a cruise ship, with a higher tub wall, but it was clean and functional.\n\nCheck-in and check-out were seamless, and the whole process felt easy and efficient. Overall, it was a great stay, and I’d happily book here again"
