Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa

"We spent a few nights here for sightseeing throughout the city. With its position already at one of the sites (Asakusa), being very convenient.\nNext Metro Station is a little walk though, but nothing to worry about.\nRestaurants, 7/11, etc all in its proximity.\nStaff was very friendly and helpful. E.g. supporting with the baggage delivery/transfer service (cloak service), which is convenient when not going straight to the next hotel, but doing something on the way.\nThey were giving the best to overcome language and culture gaps. Thanks a lot and much appreciated! :-)\nThe hotel itself offers enough for a nice stay. Laundry machines, microwave oven, free icecubes and coffee/tea, bottled water, vending machine.\nRooms are spacious (for Tokio standards) and are well equipped.\nAll in all, we had a good time with our little family."

"by far the worst hotel, I stayed at my whole month in Japan. And of course, this one happened to be the last hotel I stayed at and they single-handedly ruined my last day in Japan. I was in a room by myself. They had multiple workers in the hallway that just stared at me as I tried to Hall all four suitcases down to the lobby. No one offered to help and then I go to do a load of Laundry and one of the employees tells me I need to pay a late check out fee to do a load of laundry. Mind you I have family still staying in the hotel but they probably didn’t realize. The room was disgustingly, dirty and smelt like feet. They try to hide how dirty the hotel is by making everything smell like bleach, but it is disgustingly unsanitary whatever you do do not stay here the service is horrible And the cleanliness is horrendous."

"My partner and I stayed at Tosei Hotel Cocone Asakusa for five nights, and we had an amazing experience. The hotel felt warm and homey, with a fantastic location near the shrine and shopping areas, perfect for exploring Asakusa. The staff was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and professional throughout our stay.\n\nA special thank you to Satoru-san, who went above and beyond when I had an unexpected allergic reaction after dinner. The reaction started when we returned to the hotel, and when we approached the front desk asking them to call emergency services, he responded with immediate concern and professionalism. Satoru-san helped translate for me when the paramedics arrived and ensured we had clear directions for a taxi back from the hospital, as we were leaving late at night. His kindness and attentiveness made a stressful situation so much easier to handle.\n\nBeyond that, the staff was always thoughtful, even asking when we would like our room cleaned since we were staying for multiple nights. We were celebrating my partner's birthday in Japan and the staff even put a birthday message for my partner on screen when we arrived at our room. On our check out day, we asked to leave our bags until our departure time as we had an evening flight, and the staff was so kind to hold it for us until we came back to the hotel to pick them up. These small but meaningful details truly made us feel cared for.\n\nIf you’re looking for a comfortable, welcoming hotel in Asakusa with exceptional service, this is the place to stay. We will definitely be back!"
