Tokyu Stay Shimbashi

"Room has everything you might need. Washer, clothes press. Staff was great. We dropped off luggage early and they had delivered it to our room by the time we checked in. Convenient to Tokyo Tower and the Imperial grounds, and an easy ride to catch the Shinkansen or airport trains."

"Booked at this hotel for 3 nights.  The beds are quite comfortable, and the location is great being near the Shimbashi station. The room rates are reasonable. The shower is fantastic. From there it deteriorates. Whilst the staff are friendly none can speak any English. Washing machine is great to have but they need to work. Whilst we both could not get the machine functioning neither could the staff with 2 attempts. The Wi Fi is woeful.  Drops out constantly.  We could not get an Ipad, Iphone or Surface to connect.  Managed to get an Android phone to work sometimes. Trying to explain to staff about drop outs was painful at best. The staff told us that they will fix which never eventuated. We knew that cleaning was NOT included rubbish would be collected. Took out the rubbish morning 2 and asked cleaner for new replacement plastic bag.  Answer NO. Go to reception to get a bag took 10 minutes to get message through to 3 people that we needed a plastic bag for garbage bin. That included pointing out a bin in reception with plastic bag.\n\nWhilst the restaurant on the ground floor is not part of the hotel please note that having had breakfast here one morning we asked for a knife only to be told that “we don’t put knives out for breakfast. Very difficult to butter bread without a knife. Must say dinner at the restaurant was very good."

"Such a great hotel.\n\nSomething that may be common knowledge but was new to me, is you put your hotel key in a slot inside your room to allow the lights and TV to come on. We had to ask for help initially because I hadn't experienced it.\n\nHaving a washer/dryer was handy during our two week trip.\n\nWe booked the cozy double room, and we're happy with the bed size and room size. For two people, for two weeks it was perfect. The double bed was about the size of a full size from the USA.\n\nI will say that the food from the downstairs restaurant wasn't for me. The breakfast was expensive and not particularly great when compared to other local restaurants.\n\nLocation wise, it's perfect. There are tons of local restaurants, a 7/11, Lawson's and a Family Mart. Multiple entry ways to the Shimbashi Station subway, etc."
