"Literally 2 months prior, someone passed away from tubercolosis inside the dorm me and my friend were assigned to. Highly contagious if you got symptoms. Some of the people and staff that were present when the guest passed away were still there by the time we showed up. NO ONE FROM THE STAFF TOLD US ABOUT THE INCIDENT. WE LEARNED FROM THE OTHER RESIDENTS. On top of that, what do they do with the mattress and blankets of the deceased individual? Instead of getting rid of it, they throw it on the rooftop where everyone goes to dry their clothes. Absolutely disgusting.\n\nI haven't mentioned the black mold on top of the showers, the lack of consideration by a lot of the permanent residents of the hostel for respecting the rules inside the dorms like for example, no eating.\n\nTrust me, if you have considered this place for money, you can find WAY better for not that more expensive. At this point, I'm saying this for your own physical health. The only good thing about that hostel is that it's 5min away from the nearest metro station. That's it.\n\nNever going there again."

"I stayed here for a few months. Here are things to consider before moving here.\n\n1. So many people live here. I think there's almost 100 beds available.\n\n2. I guess it depends who you meet and the situation, you may or may not like the other residents living here. I had a hard time adjusting to the place. Some of the residents were okay, others I wish I never met.\n\n3. The air ventilation in the room wasn't good. The management decided to turn on the room airconditioning only a certain period during summer. Some days were hot and it was turned off. I was sweating in my bed. Also there were mosquitoes in the room and this and the heat made it very uncomfortable.\n\n4. The setup of the room has beds in a row and the bed areas are made of wood and they are stacked on top of each other making two rows. You get what you pay for. If you think you snore at night it might not be a good idea to move here."

"I can't thank this place enough for giving me the opportunity to come back to Japan to study abroad in Tokyo! Daisuke, the manager, is the best! He knows English so you don't have to worry about not knowing enough Japanese. That being said, this guesthouse is a good opportunity to practice your Japanese since a lot of residents here speak it! Plus, where else in Tokyo can you get these sweet views for how much you pay for?"
