"This is not the best hotel you will ever stay in. The room/hotel is outdated and the rooms are not big, even for Japanese standards. I knew all this before booking. I gave it 4" because of the price it was, and it was clean (except for a bit of dust on the bed head) and they have a coffee machine to use in the lobby, which is nice. Service is good enough and friendly. Location was great for us, minutes from the gardens and you have access to two different metro lines. This place was clearly the cheapest available at the time for us, so we are happy. But in saying that, if it is the same as other hotels, you may want to consider elsewhere."

"This hotel is a scam. Do not book unless you're willing to risk losing money.\n\nI booked this hotel through Agoda, a platform I’ve used without any issues in the past. The hotel's refund policy at the time of booking stated 'free cancellation' was available up to 7 days before my check-in date (Nov 4th). However, when I received my confirmation email, it mentioned free cancellation was allowed within 48 hours of the booking date, which seemed odd but manageable.\n\nDespite requesting a cancellation within the 48-hour window, my request was denied. I submitted two more requests, both of which were ignored. Unfortunately, since Agoda has to act as a liaison with the hotel, if the hotel refuses or, in this case, ignores the requests, there’s nothing they can do. I’m shocked to find myself scammed by a hotel in Tokyo. I will continue to dispute this directly with the hotel and with Agoda.\n\nI have to wait almost three weeks before I can request to dispute this through my bank."
